Edit filter
[edit]I'm sorry about the edit filter blocking your edit, but you really shouldn't have been attempting to copy somebody else's userpage into your own. ;) The edit filter is actually in place to prevent vandals from placing fixed-position content on a page so the edit button is hidden, making it difficult to revert if you don't know how. Feel free to ask me any questions on my talk page or place {{helpme}}
on this page with your question. Cheers! Reaper Eternal (talk) 14:57, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Article help
[edit]Sure I would be willing to help you with some of the pecularities and rules of Wikipedia. I will not be available from 29 Oct to 29 Nov as I will be in South America (mountains, jungle, and Galapagos Islands) to take picture for Wikipedia. Dger (talk) 18:28, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so so much! Help is always welcome! Good luck with your trip to South America, sounds amazing! If you would send me a link, I would love to see the photos. And no worries while you're gone, the bulk of the project will be done starting around December. When I find out my topic I'll let you know so you can help! Thanks again, and good luck! considering studying orthopedics or a form of sports medicine.
[edit]Marissa927, I see you are considering studying orthopedics or a form of sports medicine. There is no easy way to find topics that are relevant but you may like to look through those related to Anatomy or Medicine. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 15:35, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Oh great thank you! I'll definitely look into that! Marissa927 (talk) 02:38, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, I had no idea that the turtle terrapin had an alternate identity. It really would have been an excellent choice. However, it is too fully researched to make it suitable for our needs and provide you with the opportunity to develop a portfolio. I suggest you select a different topic. Also, there are four topics / group, all open to editing. Hopefully, we will not stake out territory and welcome overlapping contributions. Also, this situation needs to be noted in your portfolio as an example of "involvement" that resulted in action. So there is a plus here?! --JimmyButler (talk) 19:12, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Yes, there is a plus from this. As for the merge, its okay. I never would have guessed the alternate article either. We have decided to try the Sand tiger shark and maybe add one other animal to our list and get rid of the terrapin. Im assuming you saw the message at the top of my page about the spotted eagle ray. I ran out of resources, but I guess better sooner than later right? Thank you for the suggestion about adding this to our portfolios. Marissa927 (talk) 02:06, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

peer review
[edit]Wow, you are so lucky to get that level of attention in the peer review. It may seem intimidating; however, this represents the project at its best. Best of luck in addressing the concerns and remember this effort is filling your portfolio! Can I hope for a GA in the future? Excellent!--JimmyButler (talk) 00:04, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Yes I am very lucky! It is a little intimidating, but it's also really helpful! I wouldn't have known what to fix without them. You can definitely hope for a GA in the near future. Thank you. --Marissa927 (talk) 03:53, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Wow! Look at that green plus sign!!!
[edit]Way to vault that hurdle!
Seriously, article really has progressed. Look at the before and after (using history). And the reviewed snapshot will help the article stay clean in the future and always be available as a reference point to go back (if needed). But who knows...could even progress further. (That is huge work though.)
Anyway. There is this thing on Wiki "be bold", which just means jump in and do something...you'll figure it out better if you just try. And I think you having the initiative to just try, to push your project along is what got it done. Got some great helpers too. But they flow to people that are contributing.
Congrats again.
TCO (talk) 21:04, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so much! And I LOVE the picture(: even though I'm scared of vault a little. I have checked the before and after and it's really cool to see. The "be bold" thing was the best way to start to build a portfolio for school. I'm hoping to keep working on the article, but I don't know how much I'll be able to. The people that helped me were great, I'm lucky they came! THANK YOU AGAIN!Marissa927 (talk) 01:29, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
PS. I love the little green plus sign! Marissa927 (talk) 01:31, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
A kitten for you!
[edit]Watch out with TCO he'll have you writing gymnastics related articles next! ;)
Regards, SunCreator (talk) 13:08, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
Oh I wouldn't mind that! I could write about gymnastics all day! If I could live in a gym, I think I would do it!(: Marissa927 (talk) 14:46, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
Learnings
[edit]Nice list. I recommend this book as a desk reference for all those pesky grammar rules. This book is very well organized and compact. I bet one of your English teachers has it. You could "lose it and pay for it". Or just buy it from Amazon.

Peer review limits changed
[edit]This is a notice to all users who currently have at least one open peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review. Because of the large number of peer review requests and relatively low number of reviewers, the backlog of PRs has been at 20 or more almost continually for several months. The backlog is for PR requests which have gone at least four days without comments, and some of these have gone two weeks or longer waiting for a review.
While we have been able to eventually review all PRs that remain on the backlog, something had to change. As a result of the discussion here, the consensus was that all users are now limited to one (1) open peer review request.
If you already have more than one open PR, that is OK in this transition period, but you cannot open any more until all your active PR requests have been closed. If you would like someone to close a PR for you, please ask at Wikipedia talk:Peer review. If you want to help with the backlog, please review an article whoe PR request is listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog/items. Thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:00, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
