Citing your own research

Hello MaxSP, and welcome to Wikipedia. While contributions from topic experts are greatly appreciated, please see WP:SELFCITE about using your own research. Aside from the self-citing concern, content on Wikipedia should generally focus on established knowledge that has been widely discussed and reviewed by other academic peers and publications. If you believe content based on your own recent work would add such encyclopedic information, please suggest these changes on the article talkpage Talk:Mixed reality instead of adding it yourself. Hi GermanJoe, yup, I've done that, thanks for the hint :). As for the paper I want to base the proposed changes on -- it presents findings of a literature review including work dating back to the early 90's, and has been peer-reviewed and published at one of the most prestigious ACM conferences, where it won a Best Paper Honorable Mention award. Therefore, I firmly believe it's very well-founded and could add great value to the article, but of course I understand the self-citing concern. Thanks, --MaxSp (talk) 12:07, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
