Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 15:16, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to WikiProject Calvinism
[edit]Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Reformed Christianity! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to Reformed Christianity.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The News box will help to keep you up-to-date. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Reformed Christianity/News}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment and other tasks.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
- For those who like userboxes, we have some available in the Outreach department
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! TimNelson 11:36, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
I noticed you created the Translation page for us. That's great! While I'm useless as a translator (I know just enough French to get myself in trouble), I noticed that the Biography WikiProject has a nice Translation section, so I nicked it for ours (with a few modifications). I hope you're comfortable with where I've inserted your name. The languages that have no-one next to them were chosen on the basis that they are the languages that have the most Wikipedia articles. I've also moved your comment to the Discussion page; I hope you don't mind this.
Hope this helps,

Reformed Church in France
[edit]As far as the logo goes, I think Fair Use laws allow their use in articles. IIRC, the Wikipedia rules say that you can do this, but you can't use (trademarked) logos in eg. User pages or Userboxes. You'll need to transfer the image to Wikimedia commons, but then you should just be able to use the Image link as-is in the English article.
As for the members of the Protestant Federation of France, the ones who identify as "Reformed" would presumably fall under the scope of this project, whereas the others wouldn't. HTH,

- Incidentally, is there any chance you could do a little template translation? I've listed a couple of items at Wikipedia:WikiProject Calvinism/Translation#Requests that will probably be useful on the French Wikipedia too. I've restructured the Reformed Church of France based on Template:Christian Denomination, as specified in the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Calvinism#Denomination articles; I've basically pasted the text you had into that layout. If you translate the template, I could possibly do that on the French Wikipedia a bit too (I did 4 years of French in high school; not enough to do stuff properly, but with the article having been translated, I could probably get most of the stuff under the right headings). If you'd rather not do English into French (or rather not do the template translation), that's fine too :).

- (Re: timing) Sure, no rush. I'm glad you'll be able to do it :). -- TimNelson 23:21, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Logo 2000 ERF couleur.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Logo 2000 ERF couleur.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:20, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 19:20, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Logo 2000 ERF couleur.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Logo 2000 ERF couleur.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 19:20, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
