The page has been deleted: we had an article on Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz but it was deleted after a deletion discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz. Yngvadottir (talk) 04:27, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mahfouz Bin Marei Bin Mahfouz, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.wikigrain.org/?req=Mahfouz+Marei+Mubarak+bin+Mahfouz.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) In reply to your email

[edit]

You asked whether you could recreate Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz. The answer is no, unless you can demonstrate that the reasons for deletion listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz no longer apply. Specifically that means you'd have to demonstrate notability by providing new sources, since the consensus at the deletion discussion was that there was no evidence of that. I notice that you have in fact recreated the article at Mahfouz Bin Marei Bin Mahfouz before emailing me. It doesn't look to me as though it contains any substantial changes from the previous version which would establish notability, so it will probably be deleted again soon. If you believe it does, feel free to explain why here.

Also, in your email you said you were 'assigned' to recreate the article. If the subject or someone associated with him has assigned you to do so you should be aware of our conflict of interest guideline. Olaf Davis (talk) 11:15, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

After giving the article another look I've gone ahead and deleted it. If you believe it differed from the original substantially enough - and specifically if it demonstrated that the subject met the notability requirement for Wikipedia - let me know. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Mahfouz Foundation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ctfn, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Conflict of interest

[edit]

I understand from reading this sockpuppet investigation that you have been tasked with writing an article on behalf of an organization with which you are affiliated. As has been noted above, this poses a direct conflict of interest and is likely why the article continues to be deleted. Please do not attempt to recreate it, nor pass the task to anyone else within your organization. Repeated attempts to use Wikipedia to promote yourself, your company, or your product ultimately results in a block of the account and I would like to be able to avoid that outcome if possible. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:34, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
