The Inspiration Networks

Hi Mike. There was an article in a newspaper announcing the launch of INSP on DIRECTV and DISH Networks effective August 27th...increasing viewership by 30 million. Why was it improper to add this information to the Wikipedia site for The Inspiration Networks? It's factual, non-biased, and cited by a third party. Dunbarland (talk) 15:21, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Moved from the user page: an attempted defense of this repetitive edit

I respectfully submit that you yourself continue to vandalize. Pastor Benny Hinn regularly wears white suits made of mixed cloth and linen. This is in express contravention of Leviticus 19:19, which you would know had you bothered to read the KJV before vandalizing my perfectly factual entry. You really need to take a less arrogant approach to your self-appointed duties, read the source material, and let the edit I submitted stand as is. It is ENTIRELY correct, though you may find it offends your theological sensitivities. Boo hoo. A bit of the man's thought

Hi Mike,

Re "this is an encyclopedia, not a means of distributing slogans"

I added the section headed "Themes", and I'm sorry you don't like it. One of the things that makes Maharishi interesting is his contribution to the discussion of consciousness. The extracts I added are headlines for topics he dealt with in hundreds of hours of lectures and a number of books. There is a large community (and not just Maharishi's mob) that is expert in such matters, and I feel the article is unbalanced if it doesn't give a brief pointer to his thinking.

A.A. Allen

Hi Mike. I'm currently working on the article, trying to keep it neutral because I have the facts because I graduated from Miracle Bible School and personally met and witnessed A.A. Allen perform and preach on crusades, and I cannot have peace with my concience knowing that Satan uses Wikipedia to tell the world lies about A.A. Allen, and I cannot stand before God on the day of Judgment knowing He will confront me on why I did not rectify this glaring biased article you guys have been trying to sustain, and I am also trying to save you from everlasting damnation because God said in the Book of Revelation that "liars go to hell." A.A. Allen Revision

Hi Mike. In the meantime, I ask for your help; I have come before you like a wounded soldier. Please have mercy. Could you please somehow manage to indicate in the story on A.A. Allen that there is this article that states he actually died of cardiac arrest (as later admitted by his coroner) (http://journals.aol.com/yeshuaessenor/JESUSJESUSJESUS/entries/2008/05/25/the-coroner-falsely-reported-cause-of-death/952). Please don't delay. Now is the time of salvation--people need the factual truth. I'm talking here of imminency.

I may not have yet fully, carefully and thoughfully studied the Wiki rules on editing, but if I do, certainly I'll make the story on A.A. Allen the top article on Wiki, and I'll be one of the best Wiki editors/contributors. Please remember: Wiki may be a collection of "facts," but it is not necessarily a showcase of truth, and it appears unfortunate that billions of people are led astray by this article on A.A. Allen, and precious webspace gets eaten up by this intellectual dung. People need the truth, not the heap of facts that drown them to lies, nothingness and mind insult. For this, Wiki, as anyone else in this world, cannot claim to be purely objective, because there is no such a thing as objectivity, as every conceivable concept or idea was borne of its originator's own subjectivity, and the fact that Wiki contains this present article on A.A. Allen proves the principle, and relativism is only true when it is right after God, and God is truth and the truth shall set you free.

Wiki has always emphasized and people have been made to believe that Wikipedia is of collaborative human efforts, so please treat us as humans and stop acting like a mailbot. Mike, I ask that in the meantime, please indicate that A.A. Allen died of cardiac arrest, and help Wiki achieve the credibility it strives for. Thanks.

An anonymous comment on a web journal does not constitute a reliable source. You are removing information from a reliable source (in this case, a Washington Post article) and substituting an unreliable source (in this case, an anonymous journal entry that is in no way verifiable). Please study Wikipedia policies and guidelines, particularly the one on reliable sources, before making further contributions or attempting to reinsert this material.
