User talk:Mike Schiraldi
Welcome!
Hello, Mike Schiraldi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Thanks for uploading Image:Hveragerdi-Eden.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image tagging for Image:Konami-code.svg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Konami-code.svg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Zork
[edit]Hi,
Per your request, I have userfied the content for you to User:Mike Schiraldi/Zork magic. Please copy or transwiki it within the next week, and tag it for CSD U1 speedy deletion when you've finished. Best wishes, Xoloz 15:58, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've speedy deleted the page, per the text "This can be speedy deleted now. Thanks" you added to the top. In the future, please tag such pages with {{db-userreq}} to catch the attention of administrators. I happened across the page by accident. Pagrashtak 14:32, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

NowCommons: File:Krafla Geothermal Station.jpg
[edit]File:Krafla Geothermal Station.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Krafla Geothermal Station.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 13:57, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Scott McGann
[edit]A tag has been placed on Scott McGann requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Scott McGan Incident
[edit]If you are interested in the lastest news you may find Wikinews more useful, you are welcome to edit Wikipedia but you have to make sure that your article can be covered by Wikipedia, for help about things like this and what articles you can create see Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. If your article is a draft, test it out at the sandbox or try making your own Sandbox. Also, your article did not explain that it was an very important event, as it says in section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion your article was about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.
Hope this answers your question. Don't worry, just be more careful when writing a new article next time - WVRMAD•Talk •Guestbook 19:17, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- An admin will probably come along soon, if they think the speedy deletion template should be removed, they will remove it. Don't remove it yourself as the article could still be deleted, wait till a more experienced user tells you their point of view.
- Have a look at this page Wikipedia:News articles
Files missing description details
[edit]are missing a description and/or other details on their image description pages. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the images, and they will be more informative to readers.
If the information is not provided, the images may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.
If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 01:19, 14 April 2013 (UTC)The article 2009 LaGuardia Airport bomb scare has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- WP:NOT news, single minor incident with no evidence of lasting encyclopedic effect.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 20:29, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
