Technical news

  • A recent query shows that only 16% of administrators on the English Wikipedia have enabled two-factor authentication. If you haven't already enabled it please consider doing so.
  • Cookie blocks should be deployed to the English Wikipedia soon. This will extend the current autoblock system by setting a cookie for each block, which will then autoblock the user after they switch accounts under a new IP.
  • A bot will now automatically place a protection template on protected pages when admins forget to do so.

WikiProject X Newsletter • Issue 10

This month, we discuss the new CollaborationKit extension. Here's an image as a teaser:

D.Gray-man creation

The FA nomination is going on pretty well but I recently found a lot more of Production information about the series. Could you give it a look and copyedit it? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 02:17, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take a look at it ASAP—hopefully tomorrow, but our power and heat were off for four days and there's another storm coming. Climate change, you know. All the best, Miniapolis 23:08, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Done, but that's all the time I have for this article; I'm copyediting Fightstar for FA. Good luck and all the best, Miniapolis 18:54, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the edits. Good luck.Tintor2 (talk) 22:02, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Social contract

[edit]

I'm at the point of selecting my next article to copy-edit at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests. The only one of the next few in line that appeals to me is Social contract. Before I start, I just wonder whether "Nice article...Could use a going over." is sufficient grounds for a request. The requester made a few edits to the article, but, unless I didn't look carefully enough, not an overhaul or major update. If that's all right with you, I'm happy to accept the assignment. If not, I leave it in your hands.  – Corinne (talk) 00:31, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, Corinne, feel free to take it; with the few exceptions at WP:GOCE/REQ#Instructions for requesters, we have no minimum standard for a request. Thanks and all the best, Miniapolis 01:37, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
O.K. Thanks!  – Corinne (talk) 03:49, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
