Question

For Wikipedia not being a directory, does that just go for radio stations, or does it include television stations also? JoeCool950 (talk) 07:10, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:WNPC-FM logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:WNPC-FM logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:04, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

Edit to WPTD, creation of WPTO as redirect

Mlaffs, when you remove categories from TV articles such as WPTD, which cover multiple stations and/or subchannels, and create a new article, such as WPTO: Could you please note what you're doing in the parent article's edit summary and place a redirect comment into the parent as well? Thanks. --Chaswmsday (talk) 16:15, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Fair comment, although the WPTO redirect to WPTD actually already existed — I didn't create it. Also, unless the edit involves more than one category (which was the case here), the HotCat gadget bypasses the edit window entirely and creates the edit summary automatically. Let me look at this, though — wherever possible, I'm happy to do so. More clarity is always better. Mlaffs (talk) 21:26, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't look at WPTO's history until just after I commented. :( I think I've tripped over these a few times before, but haven't been quite bright enough to recognize that quickly enough. Wiki-nesia, I suppose. Thanks for whatever you can do! --Chaswmsday (talk) 21:33, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
