Travelers' Information Stations

DJV11181988 is adding TIS stations to the frequency pages. I know those aren't usually included in listings per NMEDIA, since they aren't technically a licensed radio station or carry their own programming heard to a large area (outside of a construction zone) and it is virtually impossible to determine if the stations are actually on the air.

Anyway, the user and I don't see eye-to-eye, so I am handing this one off. I haven't tried to discuss it because I can see it going bad. - NeutralhomerTalk • 02:10 on December 17, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

Hadn't even had the chance to look at this yet – sorry; had my own health challenges these last couple of days – but looks like all the edits got self-reverted. I'll keep an eye out. Mlaffs (talk) 04:00, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
Uh oh, hopefully nothing bad. Hopefully just that crappy winter cold everyone gets. That's bad enough. #GetWellSoon! - NeutralhomerTalk • 05:31 on December 18, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

Page Moves

Hey Mlaffs, hope you are feeling better. Got a few page moves for ya.

  • I need WINC-FM moved to WLWX.
  • I need WXBN moved to WINC-FM. (let me worry about the written histories on these two)

Now, technically, the WLWX, WINC-FM, and WXBN callsign changes have not yet taken place....officially per FCC. But, the stations are all ID'ing with the callsigns (this is my local market), so I can confirm that these stations are, indeed, moving to these callsigns. I will work on the written histories as soon as I get done writing this. They might be, technically, OR until I get some sources from FCCData (REC), the actual FCC, and RadioInsight...my typical sources. Right now, I have zip. - NeutralhomerTalk • 05:55 on December 30, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

Thanks; doing okay. Just been having some blood pressure weirdness we're trying to sort out.
Actually, it looks like these changes took effect yesterday. FCCData hasn't caught up yet, but it looks like that's because the FCC hasn't completely caught up yet either. If you check the WINC-FM record in the FCC's FM Query, it's still the station at 92.5, but if you follow the call sign history link in that record, it reflects the change to WLWX yesterday. Same with the WXBN record - the call sign history reflects the change to WINC-FM yesterday. I see this happening more and more often lately, where there's a day or two's delay in the FCC's own records syncing up on changes like this (among other problems).
Anyway, I'm at work today, but I've noted these on my to-do list. Unless someone else beats me to it, I should be able to handle the moves for you tonight. Mlaffs (talk) 14:25, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
I see you doing them now, no worries on the delay. :) Since I have you, since there are only five stations, do you think {{Centennial Broadcasting}} is necessary anymore? I mean six was pushing, but five just seems too little for a template. - NeutralhomerTalk • 03:02 on December 31, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter
Possible I might only get the first half of it done tonight, but we'll see. Got a later start than I'd planned.
As for the template? Eh - I wouldn't create a navbox with that few entries, but I don't see any reason to rush to nuke an existing one. Mlaffs (talk) 03:11, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
OK, no worries. Whatever you get done is fine by me. Sorry, I did that TL/template thing wrong. :) I did what I could to make it a little bit easier on you. Thanks, though, for your help. I always greatly appreciate it. :D - NeutralhomerTalk • 03:27 on December 31, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter
Just saw this part. Blood pressure issues are never fun. It's weird, but it could be anxiety too. If it only happens in public, it could be a sign of anxiety. Especially after being inside (ie: quarantine) for awhile. My docs and I couldn't figure out why my blood presure would skyrocket outside the house. We never took that into account until I started taking it when I was home. It was always normal...and then I noticed a pattern. I took at it the store, on one of the free blood pressure things) and it was just as high as the doctor's office, but normal when I got home. I'm having anxiety attacks when I leave the house.
That may not be what's causing your blood pressure issues, but if it's new and intermittent, it's something worth looking into. It's weird, all kinds of things are popping up for people right now. The vast majority are temporary, but just keep an open mind. I'm sure you will be OK. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 03:34 on December 31, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter
No, I've been on meds for the blood pressure for the last couple of years. But it's got a bit weird and inconsistent the last while, and then all of a sudden jumped up super high for a couple of days a few weeks back. Emergency room trip and everything's normal, so we're adjusting the meds to see if we can't get it under control. I'm sure it's a combination of COVID frustration, challenge getting exercise during these times, sitting on my ass for work all day long, etc. Trying to cut back a ton on my salt and caffeine now, and get out for long walks as often as possible.
Oh, and the moves are done now. Mlaffs (talk) 00:59, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
I'm right there with ya on the salt and caffeine battle. Salt is easy, I've found. Caffeine is TOUGH, at least for me. :( Hopefully it is far easier for you. Glad all is better! :D
Thanks for knocking out all those pages moves. Much appreciated. :D - NeutralhomerTalk • 11:10 on January 1, 2021 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

Need to request a move to WLWX...again. Per FCCData.org (via RECNetworks), since the FCC is running slow, EMF has flipped the callsigns of Winchester's WLWX and Wheaton, IL's WAIW. I will do what I can on the page and let you take it from there. :) Appreciate your help as always. - NeutralhomerTalk • 22:51 on January 12, 2021 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

Thank you, Sir. Much appreciated as always! :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 03:06 on January 16, 2021 (UTC)
No problem; sorry I couldn't get to it sooner. Busy week at work. Mlaffs (talk) 03:28, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
I figured as much, so it's no worries. :) It got done when it got done. :) You know I'm not picky. :D - NeutralhomerTalk • 05:19 on January 16, 2021 (UTC)
