I noticed that you had previously removed an external link to Killer Bee Software's homepage from the article Classic Empire (computer game). I believe that such a link is appropriate as the company legally holds the intellectual property rights for the Empire series, and is the only one that is still producing and supporting Empire games. Unless you have a specific objection then I'd like to put the link back onto the article. Please let me know the grounds of your objection to the link being in the article. Thanks. --xensyriaT 15:43, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I thought you'd just gone inactive there! Not so - would you mind leaving the links to Civ and so on in there: they're far more influencial games that were inspired by Empire than those that I removed (again with their notability and influence in mind). I'd rather not see an edit war start up here! Thanks --xensyriaT 15:33, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 17:09, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
