Hello Mutaito0321, Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello, Mutaito0321, I'm Anup, a fellow Wikipedia volunteer. I noticed that you were looking for help regarding images-upload, and uploaded some images on our sister project Wikimedia Commons. I reviewed your uploaded files. Unfortunately most of them do not comply with our copyright policy and they will be deleted very soon. Sorry!

Please note that the most of images that you find on internet are not allowed for upload and use on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a free-content encyclopedia, thus seeks copyright-free content to distribute the same. You must not upload any more images on Wikipedia or its sister project Commons until you fully understand the Wikipedia's image use policy and Commons' Licensing policy. Copyright violations are taken very seriously on Wikimedia project sites, and repeated offenders are blocked indefinitely.

Please remember that each and every content on internet is copyright-protected (not suitable for Wikipedia) unless there is a notice on website (usually at bottom) that says the content is free to use and share with modifications (copyright-free).

In the meanwhile if you need to upload media files, I would suggest you to visit the Wikipedia's files upload request page, where a group of editors offer help to upload media files on behalf of others. If you need more help, ask them here or at Help Desk. Thank you, and again Welcome to Wikipedia! Anup [Talk] 00:07, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scatter Records requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - Mlpearc (open channel) 00:59, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The obvious question that I'm asking myself is: why?. Scatter Records is an important record label and it deserves to have a Wikipedia page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mutaito0321 (talkcontribs) 01:01, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Whether an entity is an appropriate subject for a Wikipedia article is based on WP:notability criteria, not on whether you personally think it deserves it. — Smjg (talk) 12:00, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

About some of the images you've added to articles

[edit]

Greetings! I removed an image you added to Osamu Akimoto. I did a Google Image Search and found the image on multiple other web sites. It was thus immediately obvious that you did not create this image today.

You cannot just scape an image from another website and upload it to Wikipedia (or Wikimedia Commons) to use in a Wikipedia article—especially not to use as a profile image in an infobox. Those images must be under a free license. In practice, that means you have to have taken the photograph and agree to release it, irrevocably, under a free license.

If you did take the image of Osamu Akimoto, then please answer these questions so I can provide some guidance on how to proceed.

  1. When (date and time) did you take the picture?
  2. Where did you take the picture?
  3. What camera did you use? Be as specific as possible.
  4. Since this appears to be a posed picture, were you paid by the subject to take the picture?
  5. Had you licensed the image for publication in any other location (subject's website, newspaper, etc.)?

Please note that if the answer to #4 is yes, then you have a conflict of interest that you should disclose. If you were paid to add the picture to the article, then you are a paid editor and must disclose your relationship with the subject. —C.Fred (talk) 02:23, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
