[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Jordan do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Green Giant (talk) 03:19, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- In response to your message on my talkpage, please note that I did not make a unilateral thoughtless decision - all editors are encouraged to help maintain articles according to the guidelines. My main objections were based on:
- The conflict of interest section which states that "you should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent, even if the guidelines otherwise imply that it should be linked."
- I would recommend that you propose the links on the talkpage and let neutral unconnected editors decide whether the links should be included.
- A lack of external links, or a small number of external links is not by itself a reason to add external links. In particular for the Jordan article we have tried to keep links to an absolute minimum of official websites, a directory recommended by Wikipedia:External links and two Wikipedia-related sites:
- The King of Jordan
- Government of Jordan
- Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities
- Jordan News Agency (Petra)
- {{dmoz|Regional/Middle_East/Jordan}}
- Jordan travel guide from Wikivoyage
- I hope that clarifies my actions for you. Green Giant (talk) 19:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. -- Mentifisto 20:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Welcome!
Hello, Mwbseiso, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. A (hopefully) helpful pointer: amending previous talk entries is discouraged by Wikipedians unless those changes are highlighted. I have made a change to your edit to Talk:Musallam Bseiso to highlight what I mean, and how it should probably have been done. In doing so have comitted a far greater transgression by editing someone else's (your) comments so if you regard this as unhelpful rather than helpful as it was intended (a) I apologise, and (b) please revert my change. [edit]An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Musallam_Bseiso_in_1990s.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. The article Musallam Bseiso has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced WP:AUTOBIO. No indication of significant coverage in Google Books or Google News.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 09:33, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
