2024 SWAC men's basketball tournament moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to 2024 SWAC men's basketball tournament. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:26, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
- I was going to add sources, but then I had to read an entire username policy and got sidetracked. NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 18:02, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:

. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public. You may instead email the Arbitration Committee at arbcom-enwikimedia.org with your username and appeal.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

- @Yamla: Hey, I'm sorry but I don't understand this block. Could you please help me understand this? NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 22:22, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Yamla:, according to Wikipedia's Unblock Guidelines, "Before requesting to be unblocked, you can ask the administrators that blocked you any clarification about their actions, and they're expected to answer them, though first you have to read the policies they have linked as the reason for the block." []. I believe this means I am entitled to clarification as to my block, something you have refused to give me previously. NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 19:20, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- You are the same user as PremieroftheSovietUnion. This is confirmed via WP:CHECKUSER data. If you have any other specific question, please ask. --Yamla (talk) 21:47, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am not the same user as PremieroftheSovetUnion. Again, this is the only Wikipedia account I've ever had. Is it because I'm using a school device that my IP has been associated with another user I have no relation with? @Yamla: NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 16:06, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- No. The connection is far closer than that, and my reasoning has been verified by Blablubbs, below. --Yamla (talk) 18:48, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- May I ask for the specific reasoning then? What is the connection? Considering I am the user involved I don't think I should have a problem asking this? @Yamla: NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 18:52, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am not permitted to answer this question due to WP:CHECKUSER privacy requirements. --Yamla (talk) 18:56, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- You can not use general terms to describe the connection? Example: Location is the same, IP is the same, something along these lines?... The Policy states "it is a violation of the privacy policy to reveal their IP, whereabouts, or other information sufficient to identify them, unless they have already revealed this information themselves on the project.", I am not asking for private information, just a general idea of what you believe connects me to this person. @Yamla: NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 19:17, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- This is pointless. The technical data has already been reviewed by another admin with checkuser permissions. You have an open unblock request. If another checkuser believes it appropriate to share that information, I won't stop them but I won't discuss it in any more detail. --Yamla (talk) 19:21, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't care who reviews what data. I can't see it, I asked for the slightest amount of clarification (Which I'm ALLOWED to do and you're EXPECTED to answer according to this sites rules), and you refuse to give such. I am not asking for private information that is protected, as the only information protected by the policy that YOU cited is information that could reveal my identity, none of which I'm asking is possible of doing so. @Yamla: NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 19:30, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- I have nothing more to say. Do not ping me again. --Yamla (talk) 19:56, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hello, I understand the reason of block (What the block means), but I dispute evading any sort of ban. I am extremely confused on how I have been associated with a previously blocked account, and I believe this was incorrectly assigned. NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 22:10, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This block is a checkuser block, meaning it is based on private technical evidence(that even I can't see). If the wrong conclusion has been reached, you will need to explain how. 331dot (talk) 09:17, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
Hello, I would like to appeal my block from editing on Wikipedia, as I believe a mistake has been made in the assessment of this block. I do not understand how I have been confused with a previously blocked user (As I do not fully understand how the checkuser tool works), but I have never previously operated a wikipedia account before this one, and I certainly have never acted malicously on this site, nor do I plan to do so. I pinged the original administrator responsible for my block on this page and they never bothered responding when I asked for more information, which I believe is within my rights according to Block Appeal Guide. NCAA Sports Computer Rankings (talk) 19:14, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
CU confirmed socking. Removing talk page access. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:29, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

- I'm not the blocking admin, but I can tell you that you are blocked because technical evidence makes it look exceedingly likely that you are the same person as PremieroftheSovietUnion (talk · contribs) – an assessment that I concur with, having looked at the data myself. --Blablubbs (talk) 20:17, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
will likely be closed by another admin. Note that I haven't investigated, but nobody will believe the request was made by this user. I see absolutely no reason to believe this user is abusing UTRS. I leave this message so NCAA Sports Computer Rankings does not think they are being set up with regard to UTRS. --Yamla (talk) 20:28, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
