Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Narcodep999, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's actual practices around categorization. If a person is already in Category:Canadian women painters, then she does not also go into Category:Women painters or Category:Painters or Category:Canadian women artists; if she is already in Category:Canadian experimental filmmakers, then she does not also go into Category:Canadian filmmakers or Category:Experimental filmmakers; if she's already in Category:20th-century Canadian painters, then she does not also go into Category:20th-century Canadian artists, Category:20th-century painters or Category:Canadian painters; and on, and so forth. A person goes only in the most specific categories that apply, and does not get duplicate-filed or triplicate-filed in every step up the same category tree. Thanks.
