Bogucki
[edit]Happy to help (though I'm going to be busy in the near future). If you can add in some inline citations to the Andrzej Bogucki article then you can probably get it featured on the main page at "Did you know". Volunteer Marek 09:33, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm going to be away from Wikipedia for a short while but you should finish up the Bogucki article and nominate it at DYK - a couple hundred or a thousand more people will see it as a result. I will check in sporadically and if any issues are raised will try to help out. Thanks for creating the article. Volunteer Marek 00:32, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi User:Nienk, please see the comment I left at Template:Did you know nominations/Andrzej Bogucki. I tried finding a source myself but so far haven't been successful.—Biosketch (talk) 08:06, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- Please see the last two comments at Template:Did you know nominations/Andrzej Bogucki. Once that's taken care of, the article will have passed DYK review.—Biosketch (talk) 16:04, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:SidneyDaniels.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:SidneyDaniels.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:23, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited RMS Titanic Lifeboat Collapsible B, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jack Phillips (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK for Andrzej Bogucki
[edit]On 23 December 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Andrzej Bogucki, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Polish actor and singer-songwriter Andrzej Bogucki and his wife were awarded the title Righteous among the Nations for helping Polish Jewish pianist Władysław Szpilman escape the Warsaw Ghetto? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Andrzej Bogucki.You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Non-free rationale for File:0329007-thumbx300.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:0329007-thumbx300.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 21:04, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Shimonoseki Station massacre
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Shimonoseki Station massacre at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Date requests for DYK appearances
[edit]Hi! I'm afraid you have to nominate articles intended to appear in the DYK column on a specific date as any other article, noting in the nomination template that you'd like or suggest a specific date for the appearance. Once the nomination is passed, an editor will move it to the special occasion holding area for the specific date as requested. It is advisable to plan ahead for such articles and DYK nominations - at least five days before the requested date to allow for a timely review of the nomination. Regards --Tomobe03 (talk) 19:37, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

The article Edgar L. Perry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Nothing notable about him. No reliable references about him outside of titanic.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bgwhite (talk) 00:09, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed a file deletion tag from File:Eric Harris pointing to the camera.jpeg. When removing deletion tags, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. This nomination is still open, so do not remove it. You can add another tag if it is appropriate but it is best that you as the uploader let other decide what tags are appropriate to this image. ww2censor (talk) 00:13, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Implicit threats of violence. Thank you. Reaper Eternal (talk) 17:28, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Request reason:
I had my temper high tonight and said things I shouldn't have said, I am willing to apologize to Jayron as I have never thought of doing him any harm. And as to considering the Palestinians "land thieves" is as the same Americans consider Al Qaeda as terrorists. Different points of view. Thank you. Nienk (talk) 17:41, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Your behavior shows a clear intent to cause trouble. Well, you got your trouble, too bad for you it wasn't the kind you were looking for. I agree with the blocking admin, we don't need someone who would ever act like this on thos project. Maybe consider the standard offer, if you can follow those terms it might be enough to overcome the damage you've done to yourself today. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:50, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Come on, just tell me if my reason is enough or not. You called me idiot. And I didn't say a thing. Nienk (talk) 18:14, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- "I didn't say a thing"? I think not. Kind of makes me wonder if your unblock statement is sincere. Personally, I think you don't appear to be someone we need around here, but I could be wrong. Your unblock request will be handled by another admin who will do their own review, but it may take a while for them to show up, so you probably should go do something else. If any admin thinks you should be unblocked, they are welcome to do so, there's no need to check back in with me. --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:25, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Why not? I have contributed a lot, and I have been a good contributor. I'm not a Baruch Goldstein or an Ami Popper, I just hate the bad boys of the other side, not the good people you may find in there.
Besides and on the other hand, Jayron if you read this, pardon me, sincerely I never meant to insult you, you had already answered some other questions of me on the reference desk. Please tell him to read this apology, whether I'm unblocked or not. Nienk (talk) 18:29, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
