License tagging for Image:Guardian Angel CD Cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Guardian Angel CD Cover.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:06, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Nimbusania. I noticed you have User:TomasBat/Universal Autographs in your signature page, and I thought I should notify you of the MfD discussion currently taking place for it. · AndonicO Talk 01:43, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User page

[edit]

You mentioned on your userpage that you needed help with page formatting. If you want I could design a format in a couple of days for you. Sorry about writing the message here instead of the test page, but you'd get the message faster if I left the message here. Please reply ASAP. Cheers,Σpsilon60198 ! 05:49, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page

[edit]

I finished a rough draft of your new user page. It has the same colors and the same text, but different formatting. I removed some extra stuff from your page, but you can add them back yourself. I highly suggest that you ask Jackrm to make a navigation bar for you. If you don't know what one is, try looking at the top of our user pages. Σpsilon60198 ! 23:53, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-Vandalism star

[edit]

Thank you for the star -- I was hoping I'd get one of those ones with the great colors! It's such a nice change from dealing with feedback from vandals. See you on the "streets"! Piano non troppo (talk) 07:24, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Getting to edit first. Don't you hate that when it happens? There are a couple editors who ALWAYS seem to get to edits before my not-too-new computer. So, now, if I think there are enough "editors on duty", I just take a break and get some exercise. Like right now. Lol. Good hunting! Piano non troppo (talk) 07:32, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Messages

[edit]
Hello, Nimbusania. You have new messages at Apparition11's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Thanks again

[edit]

Thanks again for notifying me about the template issue. If only you were around while it was happening :) I think I got all of them (mine anyway, maybe it wasn't too widespread). It wasn't as bad as I was afraid that it would be, it only affected nine warnings that I gave, one of which was removed by the vandal I was warning and replaced with this lovely message [1]. Thanks and happy editing! Apparition11 (talk) 11:08, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

[edit]

Greetings Nimbusania, I see you're up for adoption, and I'm in the market. If you're still interested, feel free to drop me a line anytime. If you no longer wish to be adopted, please remove the adoptee's userbox from your userpage. Happy editing - Draeco (talk) 03:17, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, thanks to metapedianism there will always be some "gaps in your knowledge." For general navigation around Wikipedia, that big welcome banner at the top of your talk page is a good start. Otherwise...do you have any specific questions? If you're looking for ways to get involved, Wikipedia has tons of Portals, Groups, Committees, Projects, Reference Desks, etc that may suit your specific interests. Ask away. - Draeco (talk) 21:03, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion is certainly a place where you can dedicate a lot of time; over a hundred articles come through daily. You can begin by learning the deletion criteria at Wikipedia:Deletion policy and joining the discussions at WP:AFD. Once you're ready to start front-line police work, the most direct strategy is to go to Special:NewPages frequently and check the newest articles. If you consider one rubbish, add the deletion templates as detailed at AFD and discussion will begin. There is another process for particularly terrible articles at WP:SPEEDY. Finally, images are patrolled as well at WP:IFD; this area is more complex but very needed. Adding the handy {{deletiontools}} template to your user or talk page may organize and speed your work. Personally, I find speedy and image patrol to be the most beneficial for Wikipedia; I left AFD because I found my inclusionist philosophy opposed to it; you'll see editors fall all along this spectrum and hopefully explore your own philosophy. - Draeco (talk) 15:30, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you started to request an editor review, but it doesn't seem to be completely filled out. I don't know if it was ever transcluded into the current reviews list. Do you still want to request a review, or can I close it? Wronkiew (talk) 06:10, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Huntleys Point population reference

[edit]

Hi Nimbusania,

I noticed your changes at Huntleys Point. You might want to know that there is an easier way to reference the ABS for Australian population stats. It involves the use of the {{Census 2006 AUS}} template. I have changed your edits at Huntleys Point to use this template. You might want try using it at the other Ryde district articles you added population figures and references to recently. Note the use of the pop_footnote field in the infobox. Keep up the good work! Bleakcomb (talk) 06:12, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to do so! Bleakcomb (talk) 06:28, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sparks (Coldplay song)

[edit]

Hi! I've removed your speedy deletion tag from Sparks (Coldplay song), because the A9 criterion is applicable only when the artist's article does not exist. Here, the artist's article is at Coldplay, so the article is not deletable under A9. Feel free to prod instead. Regards, Jafeluv (talk) 11:33, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Austevollhella, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Coldplay

[edit]

Are you the person who keeps changing the Viva La Vida area to present? If you are: Please stop, demos for the next album have already been started on, and the period is over. If you aren't I'm sorry for getting the wrong person

And incase you are again, the fact that the Viva tour continues in 2010 doesn't stand for anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.251.201.242 (talk) 16:42, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Coldplay — 11/9/09

[edit]

Now if you would, could you explain this almost near pointless revert? The edits I made (as I usually make to all the music-based articles I edit) are general fixes. • GunMetal Angel 04:21, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Coldplay article, as with most articles about popular music, is under constant attack by people changing genres/musical style etc. I suppose whenever I see anyone changing the genre in the first line - i.e. "Coldplay are an English alternative rock band from London..." - I revert. Plus, and with all due respect, I feel that the term 'rock' is too broad. Sorry if it has caused any problems, or if I am interfering. I suppose I shouldn't have reverted the other information but it didn't seem necessary at the time. - Nimbusania talk 08:10, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Usually I change the lead to articles as "rock band" or "heavy metal band"... because well, take this for example: If a guy at a bus station was listening to Coldplay, one man asked "what is Coldplay?" would the man listening to them say that they're a "rock band" or an "alternative rock band"? -- That's kind of what I'm going for, "rock" over "alternative rock" seems more generic and plus can apply to something that seems more familar in everyday speech. - And about the edit; don't worry about it, I restored my revision after you reverted it (not trying to edit war or anything, haha), and ThinkBlue only changed the lead back to "alternative rock". So in other words, the lead is back to normal, but all the other changes I made with that revision are on the article. -- "Alternative rock band" as the lead is fine, it's not a giant deal for me. -- GunMetal Angel 17:49, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Little advice

[edit]

Hi Nimbusania, I don't know if you remember me from a editor review a little while, thanks again! I was just wondering if you could have a quick look at the last edit I did (www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murrintown). I want to do a little project of improving the wiki pages on the villages in Wexford (where I live). Anything I should do different before I crack on and do some more? Thanks a million, I'd really appreciate your help! Backbeatlistener (talk) 23:02, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
