[edit]Hello, I'm McGeddon. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Night vision, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. [edit]Hello, I'm DrStrauss. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to The Lynx (novel)— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Hang on a second. There definitely don't need to be two articles about the same subject. You're getting into an unnecessary edit war. I'm working on figuring out where there is notability - for the author or the book - or if it's WP:TOOSOON.—CaroleHenson (talk) 17:16, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Victor Nickolich
[edit]Hello Nordusa,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Victor Nickolich for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hello, Nordusa. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, The Lynx (novel), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

I have nominated both articles because there are not reliable, secondary sources to establish notability. See also WP:NBOOK, WP:BLP and WP:BIO. This appears to be a case of WP:TOOSOON.—CaroleHenson (talk) 17:30, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Victor Nickolich. Please make your case on the page's talk page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. IronGargoyle (talk) 17:36, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

The Lynx
[edit]I moved this from my talk page:
- I would like to redo the page for my novel The Lynx. Do you have any suggestion other than those in the guidelines? Thank you, Victor Nickolich — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nordusa (talk • contribs) 18:49, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
A couple of things:
- It's a conflict of interest to write an article about yourself and your novel. See WP:COI, specifically WP:COISELF, and WP:LUC.
- Regarding notability, see WP:GNG, WP:NBOOK. It doesn't mean that you haven't done great work, it's about whether there has been sufficient time to establish notability and significant book reviews from the perspective of an encyclopedia article, versus a social media site or official website. See WP:Promotion and WP:NOT.—CaroleHenson (talk) 18:58, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
