No problem, I'm happy to help with spelling and such issues - those are the sort of things I tend to work on. As for finding a citation, that's harder - if I were you I'd probably call Tim McFadden or Marta Mattes at the Symphony office and find out if there was anything published that we could refer to. The other thing you might try is a search of the Tulsa World's archives. If there's not, we really need to take that statement out (although I tend to agree with it) as unverified. I noticed you changed the plays from one act to full length. How do you know they are full length? The plays were presented together in one evening. Yeah, I checked your contribs and looked at the Light Opera Oklahoma page and the Tulsa Symphony Page. They both looked good, though I fixed a spelling thing on the Light Opera page. I was surprised to see it on the list of new pages - Eric Gibson is a good friend and neighbor, so I got a kick out of that. The only thing I would suggest is that there may be a bit too much detail about schedules and programs on the Tulsa Symphony Page, but I'm inclined to leave it there until/unless someone else removes it. Baritone

I see you have been having a go at this. We now have 5 main classifications and 2 minor. I think this is too many. Almost every singer I can think of belongs in at least two groups. How about reducing to three? Bel canto (or whatever you want to call it), lyric and dramatic. Kavalier is only used in Germany as far as I know, and Verdi baritone in most cases is indistinguishable from dramatic IMO.

The Royal Danish Opera

Actually, I've now had a proper look around myself. The first thing that I noticed was that it was you who redirected Royal Danish Opera to Royal Danish Theatre. Second, it seems to me that the latter article is basically accurate, but confuses the issue by saying that the organisation and the pictured theatre have the same name. The picture is of what is now known as The Old Stage.

There is definitely a company called the Royal Danish Opera. It seems to perform mostly at the new opera house but gives some productions (I guess of smaller-scale operas, such as Lucio Silla) at the Old Stage. There is a page about the company on the Kongelige Teater website, and Kasper Holten describes himself as the Director on his own site.

What I suggest - given that the orchestra and ballet already have their own pages - is:

1. Start a stub on the Old Stage (the building's history and what is performed there now and who by) and move the picture there.

2. Make it clearer on the Royal Danish Theatre page that this is now simply the title of the umbrella organisation, though the term once applied to the old building.

3. Convert the redirect into a stub on the Royal Danish Opera.

Once that is done, I'll ask my Danish contact to have a look.

Question regarding Adina

Hi Klienzach. No one has responded to my question about where Adina should go on the Rossini operas chart. I thought you might have some insight. The issue is the opera was composed nine years before it premiered. Do we go by the date of composition or the date of first performance?Nrswanson (talk) 04:23, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I hesitated to reply because I don't know the opera and don't have any information on it. I thought GT might respond. He is the Rossini expert. However judging by the article, it should go by the date of the first performance. -- Kleinzach (talk) 04:29, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi - I did respond on the Opera Project talk page, but it must have been after you contacted Kleinzach (obviously I hadn't seen the above at that point). Anyway, my view is that it should go after Mosè in Egitto (1818) and not as an 1826 opera. As far as I can see, Rossini pretty much disowned it and probably never saw a performance. (BTW, someone added all the redlinked operas to the navbox, complete with incorrect capitalisation. I've reverted.)

Anyway, the reason I'm here is to say that, wherever Adina goes, it ought to be piped thus [[Adina (opera)|Adina]] so that the "(opera)" part doesn't show. Best. --GuillaumeTell (talk) 22:43, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Fujiwara Opera

Voice articles and categories

Hi. I've just signed off all the voice articles from Soprano to Bass and much else. You've done a great job of getting them into shape, so they are off my watch list and I'm looking at other things.

One request if you have time - could you look at: Category:sopranos • Category:mezzo-sopranos • Category:altos • Category:countertenors • Category:tenors • Category:baritones • Category:basses and remove singers (pop, folk or whatever) who don't sing in range and shouldn't be there?

May Singer of the month

It's not really a question of whether the names are good - it's whether anyone will write the articles. Normally only the proposer of the idea plus one or two others contributes. If you fail you get a lot of red links at the end of the month - then the only remaining option is to do it yourself.
