Hello Nupur Chine. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nupur Chine. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nupur Chine|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MrOllie (talk) 11:35, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a paid advocate of any of the companies. I am doing a research on the topic of awards and recognition by the companies and found that the company pages awards and recognition sections were not updated. However, I was able to find out relevant sources for that particular section, therefore I updated them in the articles to add-up in my contirbutions. I would not continue doing the same if it is not recommended.

I am working with SAVIC Technologies as a Digital Marketing Intern. Nupur Chine (talk) 12:41, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Given that you work with those companies, its pretty likely you have a conflict of interest. I'd stay away from its article, but editing anything else is fine. NonsensicalSystem(err0r?)(.log) 12:46, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
User:Nupur_Chine, your additions to a number of pages have been reverted. I noticed that you added lists of awards and recognition to a number of management consultancy type companies. While this information was factual and sourced, it was not noteworthy information. These kinds of awards are more often than not a kind of marketing and we do not allow editors to use Wikipedia for marketing purposes. Please take this as a warning because this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated. --Salimfadhley (talk) 15:29, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Nupur Chine, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! My previous contributions have been deleted. Can you please add them again or can you provide a copy of the deleted articles? Nupur Chine (talk) 13:00, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia preserves the history of all documents in "View History". You can get the old versions yourself, but be careful. Perhaps there is a reason why your content was deleted --Salimfadhley (talk) 13:40, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Accenture. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Can I create a page for Savic Technologies if it is not created by any user till now? Nupur Chine (talk) 14:22, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you are looking to create an article, please refer to writing your first article. I have not heard of Savic Technologies, please apply the notability guidelines for corporations WP:NCORP to determine if this is the kind of article we should have. --Salimfadhley (talk) 14:26, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As a paid editor working for Savic technologies, you almost certainly should not create such an article. If you feel you must, see WP:AFC. - MrOllie (talk) 14:59, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is very good advice. Writing an article about a company you work for is a bad way to start editing Wikipedia. If you decide to create this article in spite of the sensible advice that @MrOllie: has given, please follow our instructions for paid eitors which requires that you disclose your conflict of interest on your user page and on any draft/article talk page which may be in conflict. --Salimfadhley (talk) 15:24, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Mahesh Kadam, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Nupur Chine, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nupur Chine|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Salimfadhley (talk) 10:14, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Mahesh Kadam, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 11:41, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
