[edit]Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to Lights Out 2, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 07:07, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alien (franchise), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Horror. Conflict of interest editing
[edit]Hello, OWSLAjosh666. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article OWSLA, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:09, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
Edit Summary
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks!

Conflict of interest in Wikipedia
[edit]Hi OWSLAjosh666 I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia. Based on your username and your edits to date it is really clear that you have a connection with the OWSLA project.
Other people have tried to speak with you about COI matters here in WP but you don't appear to have been responsive.
Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you want to be involved in articles where you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).
Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. Would you please confirm that you have a connection with OWLSLA?
Also, it appears that you have edited under a prior account, User:OWSLAjosh97 and maybe also User:OwslaHQ, and maybe others. Per the WP:SOCK policy (which maybe you were not aware of) this is not OK. Not fatal - we can fix it if you just disclose past accounts you have used,
I look forward to hearing back from you and talking through this stuff. Please do write back, just below this. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 04:29, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hey I'm sorry I've been unresponsive it's just I'm still trying to figure Wikipedia out on my phone so I was just a little confused. For the OWSLA situation I do not work over there at all I just edit the page because I'm a passionate follower or either no one else updates the page. The other OWSLAjosh97 is my old account that i lost the password to so I haven't used it in a while. I hope this is helpful for you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by OWSLAjosh666 (talk • contribs) 04:38, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for writing back. Is it OK if I post on the old account page that it is, dead, and this is your current one?
- Also, thanks for responding on the connection thing. Ok, so you have no COI, but you are a fan. Your username is going to make people think that you work for them. You maybe want to put a note on your userpage that says something like: "I don't work for OWSLA but I am at passionate follower. I used to edit under OWSLAjosh97 but I lost the password so use this one now." Something like that.
- So, nothing special you need to do. But you do need to be really careful to follow the WP:NPOV policy and you want to read and think about the WP:ADVOCACY essay a bit, and make sure that everything you add to WP has a reliable source; please use independent sources, not press releases or stuff from OWSLA's website. (They have their own website!) And please think about what somebody ten years from now would care about - we aim to be an enyclopedia! If you have any questions let me know. thx Jytdog (talk) 05:52, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
Your feedback matters: Final reminder to take the global Wikimedia survey

Image without license
[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:Lowriders poster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Lowriders poster.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (Talk • Contribs • Owner) 16:45, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

Fairly plain at this point about the production companies
[edit]For Alien: Covenant it is becoming fairly plainly evident that Scott Free Productions is listed in the credits of the film as a British company participating in the Production, and further supported by both Variety magazine [1] and Deadline magazine [2] as reliable sources. My plan is to bring this into the Lead section in the next day or two since it has been placed on the Talk page there, and in the Finance section of the Production details of the film. The Lead section should preferably now be read as referring to an Anglo-American film or British-American film at this time. Why are we reverting? ManKnowsInfinity (talk) 17:36, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Unsourced birth dates
[edit]Hi. Please don't remove sources and replace sourced content with unsourced content, as you did at Mike Flanagan (director) in this edit. We already have a citation for his birth year; if this is the only information that Flanagan has made public, this is the only information Wikipedia should report. If you're going by the IMDb, please be aware that it's not a reliable source. Especially in a biography of a living person, it's important to cite all your edits and avoid unreliable sources. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 17:49, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
Minor note about this – this article should have been created in Draftspace, and it shouldn't have been moved to Mainspace until filming on it was actually confirmed to have started in June. This is per the WP:FILM guideline WP:NFF. Just so you know... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 14:45, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- Also, pre-production films (i.e. films that have not started principal filming yet) should not be added to actor WP:FILMOGRAPHYs for many of the same reasons (see WP:CRYSTALBALL). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:16, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

Hey dude, I used to use the OWSLA table of releases to keep up with the last things that the record label releases, but now that table is gone and it seems like it's gone forever... So, what can we do to save that? Adding a new page? Using another website? What should we do? I need answers because I used that table since 2013 and now it seems like something is missing for me... Excuse my poor English but I'm not a native English speaker. If there's nothing that we can do, thank you anyways for all the effort. DahyunFan413 (talk) 22:44, 22 June 2017 (UTC) |

[edit]Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Predator 2, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 17:22, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
The article Ghoul (2018 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not indicate how this unreleased film meets film notability. Unreleased films are only notable if production is notable: no explanation to that effect.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Robert McClenon (talk) 06:23, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
I found an interview of the actress of saying when the filming was taking place and I had added the month and the source on the page.
Nomination of Ghoul (2018 film) for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ghoul (2018 film) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ghoul (2018 film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Robert McClenon (talk) 10:39, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
I found an article that is clearly just about the film and it mentions when they start filming.

Non-free rationale for File:AtomicMonster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:AtomicMonster.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:11, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:TheConjuringUniverse.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:TheConjuringUniverse.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:38, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

Copyright violation
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Benji (2018 film) article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement: "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike".
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the Help Desk. You can also leave a message on my talk page. [https%3A%2F%2Fwww.netflix.com%2FTITLE%2F80204923&usg=AOvVaw2AJKMLwPmVxJqeQMcIxeU2] - SummerPhDv2.0 14:00, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 24
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ghoul (miniseries), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Action, Thriller and Horror (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Attributing the synopsis
[edit]Hello, can you please make sure you reference the synopsis in film articles? There are two ways to do it: quote the synopsis directly and attribute where it is from, or write that synopsis in your own words. In both cases an inline citation should be used to show where the quoted or original wording came from. I just did this for Truth or Dare (2018 film). Orphaned non-free image File:StephaniePoster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:StephaniePoster.jpg.
Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:46, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

Question
[edit]Hello, my name is Greg Hill. I am an actor in the film Boogeyman Pop and I just want to say that I think the Wikipedia page you made for the movie is fantastic. I am new to Wikipedia and I'm not sure how it works. I was trying to make a page for myself since I am on two Wikipedia pages, Operation Finale, and Boogeyman Pop. Do you have any advice on how I would get both of those connected to one page for myself? Thank you so much and thanks again for supporting our film! Johnnyperkins (talk) 03:14, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

All-caps trademarks
[edit]Hello. Just to let you know that MOS:TM discourages the use of all-caps stylisations with trademarked company names, musicians, artists, etc. (Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization practices, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official", as long as this is a style already in widespread use, rather than inventing a new one
.) Other examples include using "Kiss" instead of "KISS", or "Time" instead of "TIME". This was also discussed in a requested move at Talk:Deadmau5. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 22:24, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

List of comic-based television episodes directed by women
[edit]Hey, I noticed you are a huge fan of Blumhouse film, as am I. I created the wiki pages for Annabelle 3 and director Michael Chaves, who is currently working on The Conjuring 3. This project I want you to create is kind of up your alley. I want you to create a wiki page for the women who directed television episodes based on comics. At this time, I can not devote a large amount of time on this project, so I am inviting you to research and gather as many comic-based television episodes directed by women for this list. The title of this page could be 'List of comic-based television episodes directed by women' or something similar. These TV episodes can be live action, animation, anime, etc., and can be released on any platform from cable, HBO, Netflix, etc. The guidlines that apply for this new page will include the TV show itself must be an adaptation of a comic book, comic strip, manga, and graphic novel. I hope you accept my offer as I also created the page for List of comic-based films directed by women, so I know the importance of this idea. Cardei012597 (talk) 19:49, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

Hey I was wondering if I can get another chance at editing. I know I’ve been guilty of genre warring and had made ONE sock account but I just wanted to know if there’s anyway I can come back. I’ve been editing for over two years and never had a problem till ive been blocked by you. I’m not trying to vandalize any pages you can check my 8000+ edits. Those times I’ve been blocked for adding the horror genre wasn’t meant to vandalize anything. I’ve created pages and editing on many articles and really didn’t mean to vandalize any of them. And I can admit on making another account which is wrong but I wasn’t gonna vandalize on any articles but only update them. Hopefully I can get another chance by you but if not I understand and I’m sorry I really didn’t mean to be a vandal or anything in that manner. OWSLAjosh666 (talk) 01:31, 15 March 2019 (UTC)
