A tag has been placed on Hazzard, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Hazzard is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on Talk:Hazzard, explaining how Hazzard is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 16:27, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi OddMNilsen, Sorry for not getting back to you earlier! I had a look and found that someone had replaced the version of the article you wrote (German hard rock band) with a completely different version (rapper). This version was then deemed non-notable and the entire article was nominated for deletion. I have restored just the German hard rock band versions of the article. I'm not sure if this group is notable or not, you may need to add some more references to it - but you would know more about them than me, so I will leave that to you! -- Chuq 11:13, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello OddMNilsen! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 389 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Stefan Kaufmann - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Jörg Fischer - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

I did check when I converted the page to a dab that there weren't any redirects leading into the page. I've altered the Accept template, which should remove a fair few links to the dab. There's not that many links anyway - about 40 or so - no need for a bot there. Most will be to the musician, although I can see at least one that refers to the politician in the list. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Stefan Schwarzmann requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Epeefleche (talk) 17:12, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Accept (band), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Breaker (album) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:30, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

David Reece

[edit]

Sure, I'm always happy to help out.. I have to say here though, that my first knee-jerk response was that this guy has probably spent his life thus far working in McDonald's, or completing various drywall jobs, with occasional luck finding an offer to sing with a local band unknown to anyone outside whatever town he lives in. That is what the article conveys to me, at first glance, anyway. Here are some suggestions, and I'll try to work on it with you if I can find time tonight, but tomorrow for sure. Suggestions: expand the lead. Reece is a guy somewhere in Oklahoma who sings and is best known for it? By whom? How old is he? Think about what you might include in a resume applying for a job. You want to fill in the blanks, since the third external link I read (and the first acceptable one for use) mentions him with other projects, so maybe if you flesh out the article with that info, you can show that he hasn't spent 60 years doing mostly nothing --do you get me here? I'm not critical of you, or him, just that the article is in sections that basically give a view of before, during, and after a singing gig for some years. My own personal problem with the article is that the bands he did sing with, according to the last reference sources in external links is that those bands don't ring any bells with me, either, and I've edited thousands of articles about musicians of all genres, so if you take on this job, you will have to beef up the other articles about the bands he was in since as things stand, compared to other musicians in the Wikipedia, it seems to me right now, Reece is doing a tightrope act with notability. There's no personal data, birthdates, origins of where he settled down to work, birthplace, what interested him in music, how he came to meet other musicians who formed the bands that he sang with not to mention his musical influences. Anyway, there are some things to consider.. I will be back if you wish! Gotta go quick right now! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 22:08, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
