Oh thanks very much for fixing that i was after making a right dog's dinner out of it haha. brian moore (talk) 22:58, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi, thank you for reverting those edits made by 86.155.131.20. I was just trying to work out how to revert all the edits at once and then you appeared. This user has been very busy this evening adding edits to soap opera pages. Thanks again! :) - JuneGloom07 (talk) 19:37, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

your signature

Hi- I noticed that your signature does not contain links to your userpage or talkpage. (examples here and here) Per Wikipedia:Signatures#Links, that's a requirement. Can you fix it? Thanks, tedder (talk) 18:11, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Oh- additionally, please use some sort of editsummary when reverting vandalism/unsourced changes. It's hard to figure out what is happening when looking through the page history to evaluate for page protection. tedder (talk) 18:13, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
I realised this but had no idea how to correct it. Thankfully, after a bit of searching, it's all been sorted now. I will try with the edit summaries. Ooh, Fruity (talk) 21:51, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your maintenance work on The Bill- something for which I don't always have time! Anyway, just wanted to say that, happy new year and, er, I think your username is awesome! HJMitchell You rang? 00:29, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Re: Alex Bain Coronation Street

Hmm. I didn't create this article, but I did redirect it about a year ago, so I'm not sure it qualifies for CSD 10. Perhaps you should list it over at WP:RFD instead? If it's not speedily deleted and a discussion is opened I'll join in and give my two cents. - SoSaysChappy (talk) 22:59, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

It's a tricky one, I think I probably made a mistake in tagging the article so the reasoning isn't fully explained. It's my first attempt at one so sorry about that. Basically I realised there are two pages practically serving the same purpose of redirecting, Alex Bain Coronation Street and Alex Bain (actor), and I was attempting to just delete the former. Sorry if you weren't the creator, the automated message you got was out of my hands once I tagged the article. Hope that all makes sense. Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 23:48, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi, just wanted to say thanks for the little bit of help you made to my EastEnders cast draft article. It's appreciated! I ought to try to spend more time on referencing it and then making it live. It can't be that difficult really. AnemoneProjectors 16:24, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

That's ok, it's a brilliant article. Glad to be of assistance! Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 17:06, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh and aside from the references, the reason I want to wait to make it live is I need to extend the lead so it's eligible for DYK! AnemoneProjectors 18:54, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Duncan Button

Fair enough about his surname. lol How confusing though, in the Hollyoaks credits he is listed as "Duncan Smith"... now Button again... But Duncan isn't leaving, he is back on E4 friday, not mentioned in spoilers though, but Rhys agress to let him stay. He is mentioned here link as Mitzeee arrives in the village, he takes a shine to her. Sorry about not getting this to you sooner.RAIN the ONE (Talk) 23:37, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Oh yes, I didn't see that one. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't see an article about Corrie once and kept reverting for about a week, because of IPs who leave no summary! Yes, the name thing is a persistent problem with Hollyoaks isn't it, very frustrating for us! Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 23:45, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Hollyoaks infoboxes

Hey, just to let you know myself and Raintheone have been talking about changing the infoboxes on hollyoaks articles to infobox soap character 2 as used on eastenders and neighbours characters, as it does look more professional than the infobox hollyoaks, so we were just wondering as two regular editors of HO articles, as are you, do you think we should change them over and then we could start doing it?--AcidBrights (talk) 15:48, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Yes, big fan of the new infobox and I'll completely support the changeover. Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 18:39, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

The article Robert Maxwell (Coronation Street character) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Moved page to Robert Maxwell (Coronation Street)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 18:12, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

EastEnders extras

As soon as Ina got a last name I realised that Kirkwood was giving every single character a last name, including the extras and one-offs. So it seems likely that Winston and Tracey will too, but I don't think fans will be happy to see Tracey get a last name. AnemoneProjectors 23:50, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I can see why. Tracey's charm is her ambiguity, that said I'm still itching to know what it is. Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 23:58, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Me too. But he's a brave man if he's going to do that! AnemoneProjectors 00:17, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
Ooh, Ooh, where'd you get the info about Maude? :-) AnemoneProjectors 00:36, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Recollection, and she's also given a mention in The First 10 Years book (pg. 34). But yeah, I have the first two years on DVD, so I took down first appearances etc. from there. She was always best friends with Lil, they appeared together for the most part :) Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 11:26, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
I didn't actually realise she was on the list of named extras already. I really think we should write about Ina and Marie too but I don't know when they first appeared. AnemoneProjectors 18:35, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
I don't know about Ina (I'm thinking about 2003?), but I think Marie first started working at the cafe around the same time Lynne did in 2000. If that's any help at all. Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 19:16, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Hmm not sure. I'm making notes now on what all the extras do for future reference - for example, Harry removed the Queen Vic bust for Roxy. There's another extra who doesn't seem to have a name, the old man who's always in the background, I think he plays the piano sometimes. Bryan Kirkwood seems to have made him the milkman! AnemoneProjectors 20:16, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Chris Gray (Coronation Street) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Paul Opacic

You'll hate me for asking. Using IMDB... could you add his filmog..?? Only thing is it's.... 33 roles long!!! You know when you added refs, can you include the work and publisher fields. I'm sorry to be a pain, I'll do it if the protections are approved... but I'm constantly corrected these news users mistakes and IP edits that are either good faith or vandalism... It's a right mess all of a sudden... I think it's because HO has improved recently though. Which is good aye. :) I do wish people wouldn't create actor articles with nothing other than a sentance... lolRAIN the ONE (Talk) 23:01, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Yeah sorry about reversing your edit. I took so long to submit, edit conflict came up and couldn't be bothered to change much to be honest. Work/publisher...minor detail, I'll do it for Hollyoaks articles in future. As for the filmography, I'm on it :) Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 23:43, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
Woah thanks for adding it so fast. I saw the filmog and thought... oh hell no. lolRAIN the ONE (Talk) 16:36, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

New Cindy and Steph names

For Cindy I think it's okay... but Steph is known as Cunningham.. there needs to be a discussion... it's happened a lot in the past with characters such as Janine Butcher and Lyn Scully where there names are kept to the most well known name... Out world context... who refers to Elsie Tanner as Elsie Gregory... that sort of thing.RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 21:23, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello :) I've always disagreed with the policies only recently brought in by the most prolific editors on the EastEnders and Neighbours projects, the argument they put forward is quite silly in my opinion, supposedly we should be going by whichever name has the most results on Google apparently. For this one that would be Steph Dean for instance, by a pretty long way - but she won't and never will be Steph Dean again...so, what's the point? It's what redirects were created for. I think we should name pages by whatever the character is credited by, and it's what we have been doing until now. Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 21:35, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
I kinda agree with you, Steph Dean is probably her most remembered name too. Just like the results drag up.. What to do though? I huess there is atleast four of us who can decide on this one now though.RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 13:15, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

The use of non-free images in a per character manner has long been debated, with a result of WP:NFLISTS. This sort of usage is in fact not supported. If you can find a cast photo from this season of the series, feel free to add it to the top of the article. As is, this article is preciously short of cited references, and the characters are apparently not significantly notable beyond in-universe references. Including an image for each of these characters is not justified. If you dispute this, please take the issue up at WT:NFC. I am reverting your edit, as long standing practice does not support this usage. Please do NOT restore the images without consulting with WT:NFC first. Edit warring the images back onto the article is not a means to the end you wish to achieve. If you have questions, ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 19:21, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't actually say that explicitly on the guidelines you referred to, as far as I can tell it's just your opinion that they shouldn't be used - opinions which should be discussed on the talk page of the article before removing the content. Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 19:40, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
  • With all respect, I can't tell you the number of times I've heard people use the argument "it's just your opinion" towards me and plenty of other people working to enforce WP:NFCC compliance. I assure you it's not just my opinion. There's been several debates about the issue, which resulted in the creation of WP:NFLISTS as I told you. I was party to many of those debates, and I'm quite well aware of the community consensus regarding the issue. It isn't just my opinion. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 20:34, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Colour

Since no one changed Carla Connor or objected.. which I didn't do may I add.. I thought it was worth a try. Why do you think it's good to have a break off infobox? Decor? :p RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 21:54, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Every Coronation Street article has yellow, it's become like it's signature colour on here - like Emmerdale's is green and EastEnders is blue. I like that, it's a small detail that's not really worth changing in my opinion. Wiki would be a very dull place if everything was the same, just my opinion of course :) Ooh, Fruity Ooh, Chatty 22:04, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia doesn't encourage decoration as it's encyclopedic.. I won't lecture you because you're a superb editor... but It's time everything followed suit IMO... Neighbours, Hollyoaks, Eastenders and Home and Away all use the standard blue.. In this context though, It's like me wanting Jack Duckworths article to be hot pink, so it's different from the others.RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 22:10, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

December 2010

Don't think Claire departed at all while the actress was on leave, just didn't appear in any storylines any of them.. It's not like the actress was ever off contract with the serial anyway, I can understand it for characters like Cindy in HO who have left on-screen...RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 22:52, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

She didn't appear for six months. There's no set guidelines for these things and I just go on appearance dates, it's silly saying someone was in the show at a time when they actually weren't. To be honest, there's no way of knowing whether she was on contract or not, we only assume she was. It's the same with Lloyd, the actor was suspended from the show in 2006 and it wasn't storylined then he just turned up in the Rovers six months later as Claire later did. He may have been released from his contract, he may not have. We don't know, but the duration has always reflected his significant time off, as they all should in my opinion. Ooh, Fruity @ Ooh, Chatty 23:06, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
It's always confusing, I don't know why little things like that even matter to me... Looking at it as a work of fiction, she was always mentioned as picking the kids up or making dinner for ashley. There is however a way of telling if she was on contract, she was on maternity leave getting paid, they wouldn't have had to do that if she wasn't on contract..RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 23:14, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
I don't know why these little things matter to me either, I really shouldn't care as much as I do! :P I've given up on the colour issue though, I've realised there are more important things to worry about than a splash of colour. As drab and ordinary as the blue might be, I suppose it befits every Wiki article. I might even come round to liking it in a few weeks! Ooh, Fruity @ Ooh, Chatty 23:25, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Emmerdale

Hello there, I just thought I would talk to you about Emmerdale articles, their isn't many regular editors, and I have done a lot of rewrites on Emmerdale articles and created some, however they end up getting ruined, so I was thinking we could do some editing together especially the List of minor Emmerdale characters (2010), it should be like the EastEnders one or the neighbours one, example here: List of Neighbours characters (2010) or List of EastEnders characters (2010). Would you be interested?

I'd be interested in what you'd like to do with the project. Emmerdale articles have been largely neglected it seems, and I do like the layout of the new-look lists - so I'd give full support there. I'd be interested in helping out on a reduced basis, I'm very busy at the moment so substantial edits from me would have to wait until late January at least. Ooh, Fruity @ Ooh, Chatty 23:12, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Coronation Street

Hi I have a proposal... see Talk:Sarah-Louise_Grimshaw#Name... let me know what you think! Bankhallbretherton (talk) 14:08, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Corrie lists

I noticed what you're currently doing. Some characters and names with redirects are going to these lists... List of past Coronation Street characters (2000–present), Lauren Wilson (Coronation Street) for instance. It's a bit of a mess isn't it. Finlay byrant and others are mentioned there and in other lists, some need moving out into the correct list altogether... You probably already know about this anyway, but best to make sure. =)RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 22:58, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm going through every character one by one, checking what links where, if the article is good enough and so on. It really is a mess, I can't believe how bad. I know I haven't deleted some from decade lists which I've transferred to the main ones, so if you notice any doubles, feel free to delete them. If you want to help out in any way, go right ahead. You'd probably be faster than me, I'm doing like five things at once right now. Ooh, Fruity @ Ooh, Chatty 23:22, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
I'm helping a little now. When we have ridded of the past decade character pages, we can request them for deletion, what do you think? =)RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 23:57, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Definitely. I'll be off in a mo, back tomorrow evening, just so you know :) Ooh, Fruity @ Ooh, Chatty 00:01, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
