Color codes for parliamentary diagrams
[edit]Hi @OrthosKral. I noticed that you have been updating parliamentary diagrams for Indian state legislative assemblies. Please remember to use only those color codes in such diagrams that have been assigned to each party per community wide consensus, to ensure uniformity. You can find color codes of all political parties (grouped alphabetically) at Module:Political party. Cheers. Dhruv edits (talk) 16:31, 25 April 2023 (UTC)

[edit]@OrthosKral Can you prepare a lok sabha map for me(it is for experiments only)? XYZ 250706 (talk) 16:33, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Well the situation of BJP is similar to the situation of Congress in Telangana so if Congress is shown as a major force in Telangana so the BJP should also get equal status considering the fact that BJP had won more Lok Sabha seats then Congress in Telangana and as BJP emerged as opposition in many Municipal Council but congress was decimated the best example is Greater Hyderabad Municipal council election held in 2021 where BJP won 48 seats and emerged as 2nd largest party whereas Congress won only 4 seats out of 150 also its important to notice that BJP has 4 MLAs in Telangana Legislative assembly whereas Congress has 6. I see no reason why I am accused of pushing BJP in 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly election Wikipedia page OrthosKral (talk) 10:19, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Edit warring warning
[edit]Your recent editing history at 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly election shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. K. Annamalai (BJP) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to K. Annamalai (BJP). Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:31, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
There was already a draft article on Kuppusamy Annamalai (born 4 June 1984) at Draft:K. Annamalai (BJP politician) when you created your version. I have changed your draft article into a redirect. If you think that there was something of value in your version, you can go to the article history and find a version and copy-and-paste into the older version. Please do this in edit mode. Much of the content of your version seems to have been copied from elsewhere - but you forgot to copy text from edit mode, so you lost most of the citations. If you can remember where you copied stuff from, you might be able to find them.-- Toddy1 (talk) 09:24, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 09:24, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Your recent edit at Next Indian general election is an example of vandalism. Please don't do that again. Otherwise, you may loose your editing privileges. George Simon Ohm (talk) 11:18, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- @George Simon Ohm I support the edit done by @OrthosKral. Give it a second thought. No other party except BJP & INC have presence outside max 5 states. The parties that are in the list like NPEP has presence only in North-East India. AAP has presence in Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Goa. BSP has presence in UP, Rajasthan, MP and Punjab. CPI(M) or all of left has presence in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, West Bengal and North-east. I might have missed some states but overall no party is present on Pan-India level. So they shouldn't be added like they aren't there in 2019 article. I am removing them and restoring OrthosKral version. Shaan SenguptaTalk 12:05, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- CPIM is also present in Rajasthan, Orissa and Maharashtra. As a Malayali I like both CPIM and INC but you may say I'm right. George Simon Ohm (talk) 13:01, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- I said I might have missed some states. Anways CPI(M) is only having presence in more than 5 states. As for Maharashtra and Orissa 2-3 Legislative seats is not a big thing for the largest Communist party in the country. What you and I like doesn't matter. Whats correct only matters. - There are only 2 major alliances NDA and I.N.D.I.A and almost all National parties are either in NDA and I.N.D.I.A so I thought was unnecessary to show other national parties. OrthosKral (talk) 17:20, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

- So both CPI(M) and Congress is in I.N.D.I.A and its a known fact that Congress will get more seats (if the alliance continues) so it was unnecessary to add CPI(M) and being a Kannadiga. we have BJP, Congress and JD(S) as main parties but I can't add these parties in National level just because they are main players in my state. [edit]@OrthosKral Hope you are doing well. Can you please prepare a map in Lok Sabha map for me? Although it is an experiment, it will be very helpful if you do it. Use the following colour codes : Communist Party of India (Unified Marxist-Leninist) People's Socialist Party Vanchit Bahujan Samaj Party Aam Aadmi Party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Nationalist Congress Party Bharat Rashtra Samithi Telugu Desam Party Rashtriya Loktantrik Party Jana Sena Party Indian National Lok Dal Rashtriya Lok Dal Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Akali Dal Kerala Congress (Secular) Asom Gana Parishad Zoram People's Movement Sikkim Democratic Front Jammu & Kashmir People's Democratic Party Independent
Get data from User:XYZ_250706/sandbox6 and replace Socialist Party of India (SPI) with People's Socialist Party (PSP) and All India Scheduled Castes and Minorities Federation (AISCMF) with Vanchit Bahujan Samaj Party (VBSP) (in your map only) where I have not done so. Add abbreviations of party also (Use AAP instead of AAAP). Use these colour codes only (Ignore if I used other colour code in sandbox). Only one map in Indian Lok sabha map is enough.
