Hi! Rather than focusing specifically on a new article about the profession in the United States, I think that it would be better to revise this article to take more of a globalized perspective. Part of the reasoning for this is that since the current article is already so US-centric, a separate article that focuses on the US may be seen as redundant. Another reason is that this may be easier in some ways to work on, as this would take a general approach to the profession and a revised article could be set up like this:

(Lead paragraph)

Terminology (see the section at the article for lawyers as an example)

Responsibilities/services provided

History of profession (global perspective)

Professional associations

By country (this section will cover things like country specific requirements and the like, as well as education - if there's enough generalized info about education, this could be its own section)

Something else to take into consideration, if this seems a bit daunting, is to translate a non-English language Wikipedia article into English. There is a list of pages needing translation from non-English Wikipedias here. Definitely check with your instructor first, (@Bobwurst:) but this could be a good alternate. Hi Shalor.

thanks for your replying. I have been looking for reliable sources about "Certified Public Accountant" many days. I could not find much. However, I just figured it out that the term" CPA" used only in the United State, other countries use " CA", Which means " Chartered Accountants", that is why the article Certified Public Accountant is written more about American perspective.PHUONGDOAN COD (talk) 23:04, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

• It may just be an American term for the most part. To be on the safe side, I'm going to bring this up on a special WikiProject set up specifically for accounting topics and ask about this. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:12, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
• I suppose an alternate for this would be to just revise the page so that it focuses on the United States and then have a section entitled "in other countries" as a catch-all for the term in other countries, if there are any that specifically use CPA as a term.
