Copy source, not displayed text

[edit]

If you copy text from one article to another, please copy the source text - from the "edit" view - not the displayed text. That way any formatting or tags (eg "clarification needed", in this instance are copied correctly. Mitch Ames (talk) 09:38, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Another example [1], and my temporary "correction" [2]. Please insert the correct references in those spots. Mitch Ames (talk) 11:59, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

July 2017

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Hebrew Bible, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 09:52, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like virtually all of your edits have been reverted for the same reason. Please follow WP:VERIFY and WP:RS. Doug Weller talk 09:55, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what else to do to get you to stop these unsourced edits

[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia. I can see that since February 2015 you've ignored/deleted any warnings you've been given. That does show that you know about them. You've been reverted today several times, not just by me. And yet you continue to ignore WP:VERIFY etc. I'd rather not block you but if this continues it may be the only way to get you to change your behavior. If you need help or advice you can ask at the WP:Help desk. Doug Weller talk 12:06, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Paul, a word from me (my username is similar to Doug's, but we're different people). You look like a good guy, with a lot to contribute, getting a bit frustrated by our rules. I'd love to see you become a really stellar Wikipedian, but at the moment, you're heading for difficulties. Please reply here and have a chat and Doug and I will see what we can do to help you. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 15:47, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
