Hello, I noticed your recent edits to Christopher Billopp (Royal Navy officer). I appreciate your effort in trying to improve the encyclopedia, but your edits have been removed from the page. They were removed mainly because they were redundant. Your first edit stated "there is reason to believe this never happened". That fact has already been addressed elsewhere in the paragraph, so there is no need to repeat it. Your edits also included a link to CGP Grey's video. Thank you for attempting to help readers get to the video, but this is unneeded as the video is already included in the citation for the page. Citations are footnotes that contain information used to verify any claims made in a Wikipedia article. Citations are in superscript and look like this: [7]. Hovering over the citation [7] on the sentence about CGP Grey's video on the article will provide a link to "The Race to Win Staten Island".

I hope this makes sense, and thank you for trying to improve the article. As a side note: your edit contained multiple grammatical errors, including incorrect capitalisation. While this will not in and of itself cause your edit to be deleted, we would like you to make sure your grammar is correct before you post your edit to Wikipedia so that we do not have to spend time correcting them. Thank you and have a good day. sam1370 (talk / contribs) 20:12, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Ben and j carlin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
