Proposed deletion of "Eldorado Finale"

[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, Eldorado Finale, has been proposed for the following reason:

unreferenced

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 00:34, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Down Home Town

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Down Home Town, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --Cocomonkilla (talk) (contrib) 23:41, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Down Home Town

[edit]

I have nominated Down Home Town, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Down Home Town. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. --Cocomonkilla (talk) (contrib) 16:16, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting redirect at Across the Border

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you reverted the redirect from Across the Border to Out of the Blue (Electric Light Orchestra album). A consensus was made at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/First Movement (Jumping Biz) to redirect Across the Border (as well as several other ELO songs that were seen as non-notable) to its respective album article, and to include the content from the song article in the album article. Please respect this decision and make an effort to understand Wikipedia's deletion procedures as well as procedures to appeal AfD decisions; you can read more at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. License tagging for File:TheDiaryOfHoraceWimpB1FULL.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:TheDiaryOfHoraceWimpB1FULL.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:08, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Down Home Town

[edit]

Hi there, I have redirected the b-side on to the main single article, I know of the disputes several of these ELO classics have caused! so to prevent some ill-informed admin from removing it completely I have saved it. I hope you understand.

Orphaned non-free image (Image:TheDiaryOfHoraceWimpB1FULL.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:TheDiaryOfHoraceWimpB1FULL.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Please see WP:NSONGS, specifically 'Most songs do not rise to notability for an independent article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for the songwriter, a prominent album or for the artist prominently performed the song. Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been performed independently by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable.' Ironholds (talk) 19:23, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't revert my change. I've quoted to you the relevant policy, and you don't seem to have any counter to my point. If you do, post it here; if not I'll wait an hour for any changes in the situation and bring in a third party to decide. Ironholds (talk) 00:55, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Enough. I have removed the material, giving reasons. You reverted it. I removed the material giving detailed reasons. You reverted it. Another user removed the information, giving reasons. You reverted that too. I have changed the page to the version policy prefers; change it back again and I will apply to have you blocked for edit warring. Thanks for uploading File:Harvest Showdown ELO Wizzard Move.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
