Copyright problem icon Your edit to Kim Seon-ho has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 15:05, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Lee Jung-eun (actress), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 15:11, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Park Hoon-jung 2021.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljs17uYt2_k. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 14:21, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Kim Min-seo (actress, born 2009), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Kim Sung-bum.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kim Sung-bum.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:13, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on S.A.L.T Entertainment, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 13:32, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from The Last Stand (2013 film) into Kim Jee-woon. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 11:57, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move procedure

[edit]

Hey! I saw you moved Kang Tae-joo after submitting a requested move.

In general, you should never close requested moves you are involved in. Wait for an uninvolved editor to close the discussion. In this case, it worked out okay, mainly because there was no opposition (it could be treated as an uncontested technical request), but do not do that again. Also, leave the requested move discussion on the talk page, that way others can see what happened in it. (Also, you're supposed to leave it open for 7 days; you moved the article after 6 days and 23 hours, which once again is not a big deal when it happens once in a situation like this, but don't do it again unless WP:SNOW applies.)

I've closed the discussion officially for you; since the page was already moved and nobody had commented in the time the RM was open, I don't think there was a risk of anyone opposing the move in the final hour before the discussion officially elapsed. Keep what I say in mind for future RMs, however. Feel free to take a look at the closing instructions for requested moves if you're curious about anything else in the process. Please remove promotional wording such as: "Choi has focused on recruiting excellent creators to strengthen competitiveness as a content producer. This is based on the judgment that the core competency of drama production is ultimately created from the imagination and know-how of key talent. By acquiring major domestic production companies such as Culture Warehouse (writer Park Ji-eun), Hwa & Dam (writer Kim Eun-sook), KPJ (writer Kim Young-hyun, Park Sang-yeon), and GTist (writer Noh Hee-kyung), Studio Dragon have recruited leading talents, reaching 183 people as of the second quarter of 2019. Due De Quervain syndrome, I can't update anything fast enough. I need to finish my planned backlog first. Currently write slowly because of the pain. I suggest writing on the artist’s talk page so it can be done faster by other editors (I see more senior editors are currently very active on updating that page) or probably edit it urself. Waiting for me probably will take too long to ur liking.
P.S: Friendly reminder to always practice Wikipedia:Assume good faith. Preferwiki (talk) 04:08, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm 98Tigerius. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ahn Jae-hong (actor), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Request for Input on Using "Bang Chan" Throughout the Article

[edit]

Hi,

I hope you're doing well. I'm currently involved in a discussion on the talk page of Bang Chan, under the topic "Weird comment about name," regarding the consistent use of "Bang Chan" throughout his article, rather than reverting to just "Bang" after the initial mention. While one editor prefers to use "Bang" for subsequent references, others are fine with keeping "Bang Chan" throughout the article, as is common in similar cases. I’ve noticed that there are other articles, such as Gong Yoo, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lee Know, where the two-word name is consistently used throughout without reverting to the surname. Additionally, according to MOS:BIOEXCEPT, we are allowed to use a two-word name if the person is widely known by it, or if they have clearly declared and consistently used this as their preferred style. In this case, an overwhelming majority of reliable sources also follow this format for "Bang Chan."

Since you have experience in similar projects, I believe your input would greatly help in reaching a consensus. If you have the time, can I ping you there, could you kindly share your opinion on this matter? Your perspective would be very valuable to the discussion.

Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Best regards, RDWolfgang (talk) 05:10, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
