Santa Clara County Library District

[edit]

Hi, I'm a newbie here so forgive me if I'm doing this wrong. On February 13th you put a banner on the top of our page saying we needed more citations. (Santa Clara County Library District) I have since added a ton of citations to the page. Can we lose the banner please? Thanks. Sccld (talk) 21:56, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh sorry for ignoring this message, I should've responded earlier. Go ahead and remove the tag if you think the article is adaquetly sourced. For future reference, you don't usually need to alert anybody when you remove warning tags, that is unless there is a pending discussion in the talk page.Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 07:21, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for trying- The Howard School

[edit]

I looked at this one several times and backed off as there is just too much work needed to do. There is no obvious disambiguation- this is The Howard - is always with the article. The problem is with local government reorganisation. Currently, this bilateral school is not in Kent- so Howard School, Kent is wrong on two counts. It is in the unitary authority of Medway, which WP describes as within the Ceremonial County of Kent. All the functions and statistics relating to this school relate to Medway. Technically it is not in Rainham, but it has a Rainham postal address- and it was set up to serve children from that area of Gillingham, just outside the settlement of Rainham, but within the parish. And we are talking about Gillingham, Kent not Gillingham, Dorset- and Rainham, Kent not Rainham, Essex now known as Rainham, London. Not related but there is a similar problem between the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of East Kent and West Kent the boundary is popularly said to have followed the Medway- but their was an exception where the boundary followed the parish line between Rainham (East) and Gillingham (West) about 500m from this school- and battles were fought!

So it is not in Kent- but it was when it was founded, and its most unique feature as one of Britains 6 bilaterals was forged under Kent. But with national government policy it has changed its status- to an academy like most of Medways secondary schools- and it can be argued that Paul Morris now has the freedom to run the school as a creamed single-sex comprehensive.

Yes looking at the Navbox we see a further problem- it has not yet been edited to show the difference between the two authorities. Do we do two nav boxes or break with convention and split each category into sub boxes (my preference)

I think you could try The Howard School, Rainham, then set up multiple redirects.-- Clem Rutter (talk) 12:08, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Added school infobox parameters at High Technology High School

[edit]

Your recent edits to the article for High Technology High School added several useful school infobox parameters, but also added several dozen that are unlikely to ever be used. While I often disagree with many of the arbitrary and capricious diktats of those running through Wikipedia "fixing" school articles, the recommendation to minimize the number of unused parameters makes a reasonable amount of sense, as a walk through the added parameters makes the infobox all the more unreadable and uneditable for other users. Please feel free to contact me on my talk page with any questions. Alansohn (talk) 16:22, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jason Zimmerman has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. —Largo Plazo (talk) 02:49, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I was wondering if you could write an article on Adam Lindgren (Armada), and Kevin Nanney (PPMD). I've fixed your article on M2K. Esports earning is not reliable, I've added some strong third party sources which signficantly cover him. Let me know if you have any questions, I just made Apex (tournament series). :) Valoem talk contrib 05:03, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking that esports earning could still be used as an "estimate" since there doesn't seem like there's another source that gives a total number that Smashers have earned. However useful this is, I used the number of twitter followers as a WP notability litmus test; Mango and M2K have around 28K followers each, Ken only has 16K but he's has other notability from Survivor and from being good back in the day. I think Armada and PPMD, who each have about 14k, aren't really notable enough at this point, although I guess that might change after the new documentary episode comes out.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 07:25, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alpha Phi Omega chapter pages.

[edit]

Both of those pages are already transcluded onto the List of Alpha Phi Omega chapters and were deliberately split out in that manner to make the overall page (which also includes Petitioning Groups and interest groups) easier to handle. Given the width of information, the only way that I can see merging them is to recreate the larger page at List of Alpha Phi Omega chapters which is what I didn't want in the first place because it is too large. I'm interested in your ideas...Naraht (talk) 12:40, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I posted the merger suggestion before trying to find out the history of the two pages. When I first saw the articles, I just assumed that they could've been merged by adding additional columns. With sortable tables in wiki software, it would be easy to find discern chronological or geographic order of Alphi Phi chapters.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 16:37, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, they could be merged that way, but doing so in a manner that gives, IMO, a reasonable width for the tables seems difficult. If you'd like to make a combination in a sandbox, I'd love to see whether I can fit it on my screen. (And Alpha Phi Omega never abbreviates to Alpha Phi, as there is a sorority with that name. (And yes, I have a severe COI on Alpha Phi Omega, but these pages don't seem like anything (other than their existence) is something where COI affects it that much.)Naraht (talk) 18:38, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on William Hjelte requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. File permission problem with File:PC Chris MLG 2006.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PC Chris MLG 2006.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. School sources and infobox parameters

[edit]

I'm trying to understand the purpose of your recent edit to Delran High School and other similar articles. Why add a source for each sentence in the text about enrollment that is covered by a single source for NCES data at the end of the paragraph? Why remove the NCES source from infobox parameters, when it isn't clear to a casual reader that they all come from the same source? Whether it's "teamname" or "team _name", the parameter works identically, so why change it (and because one version shows up in template documentation is a poor justification, as they work equally well and are both equally valid)? Alansohn (talk) 16:25, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WP:INFOBOXREF suggests that references need not be located in infoboxes, so I moved the footnote to the corresponding information in the text (where I should be). As for the team_name parameter, I was actually unaware that it worked like "teamname". You can switch it back if you think it should be that way.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 21:15, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Shelton College requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

WikiCup 2015 March newsletter

[edit]
One of several of Godot13's quality submissions during round 1

That's it, the first round is done, sign-ups are closed and we're into round 2. 64 competitors made it into this round, and are now broken into eight groups of eight. The top two of each group will go through to round 3, and then the top scoring 16 "wildcards" across all groups. Round 1 saw some interesting work on some very important articles, with the round leader Australia Freikorp (submissions) owing most of his 622 points scored to a Featured Article on the 2001 film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within which qualified for a times-two multiplier. This is a higher score than in previous years, as Smithsonian Institution Godot13 (submissions) had 500 points in 2014 at the end of round 1, and our very own judge, Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) led round 1 with 601 points in 2013.

In addition to Freikorp's work, some other important articles and pictures were improved during round one, here's a snapshot of a few of them:

You may also wish to know that The Core Contest is running through the month of March. Head there for further details - they even have actual prizes!

If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! Annabelle (doll)

[edit]
Hi, I was wondering if I could get your opinion on this article I wrote Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Annabelle (doll), would you consider the sources cited reliable? Do you see any issues or improvements that could be made? Valoem talk contrib 13:07, 11 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My gut reactions after reading the article once is that it's going to get merged into Ed and Lorraine Warren. The sources seem pretty reliable, that's not the issue here. That being said I'll see what I can do to make it longer than a stub.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 21:35, 11 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the AfD it would appear that way, however I've been using sources to establish notability and AfD is a discussion that can go either way. I've found more published sources from books, but was holding off until further discussion. I was wondering if I could get your input in the discussion for or against. Valoem talk contrib 22:10, 11 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the comments! I removed the last sentence I hope you don't mind, WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS generally should be avoided in AfD discussions. :) Valoem talk contrib 01:32, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You been excellent when it comes to source finding which is why I came looking for improvements from you. I think in term of this specific subject I was hoping you could see what Sławomir Biały is trying to do. He is heavily against this article and reverted to a version which is more or less in violation of NPOV. He is using one source which has the most sensational claims and then restoring the version he feel would mostly likely be deleted. I hope you understand, he also removed the word alleged, because not every source says so. He is using this version claiming you are one who wants it restored. I believe we should restore to the previous version, we cannot support the current version. Valoem talk contrib 20:51, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Recent smash player moves

[edit]

Going under the gamer tag is right here, per WP:COMMONNAME, but I think it should be title (electronic sports player) instead of (Super Smash Bros. player), but I am not sure. Valoem talk contrib 22:54, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion, the disambiguation should be listed as (Super Smash Bros. player), since the games played in electronic sports have few similarities with one another as I'm sure you know. If a particular player plays multiple games at a high level, maybe that could be grounds to list them as (esports player). I'm guessing you've seen some of the other pro gaming wikipedia entries that have the (electronic sports player) disambiguation, in that case I'm actually going to change those ones too. In the mean time I'll create a discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video Games to hear some other opinions.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 20:06, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Garrison Keillor (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

The family belonged to the Plymouth Brethren, a fundamentalist Christian denomination Keillor has since left.

The above statement contains no violation of Wikipedia's policies on neutral point of view. In fact, it takes no position on it and makes no inferences, it simply states a fact. If you dispute the fact, there is a different tag for that: {{citation needed}}. I removed your {{NPOV}} template.Dwpaul Talk 21:24, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have a slight problem with the its weaselish description as a "fundamentalist Christian denomination", as the Plymouth Brethern's page makes no reference to such a description.

Official Names → Nickname

[edit]

Excuse me, sir. Why do you changes the name from official name to nickname as game identity? Already nicknames of electronic sports player are being redirected to articles. So, I don't think you need to changes the name. Thanks. --Idh0854 (talk) 09:15, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Article titles should be recognizable to readers, unambiguous, and consistent with usage in reliable English-language sources. In many cases, the official name will be the best choice to fit these criteria. However, in many other cases, it will not be." For the most part, the most recognizable (name) for an esports player is going to be their gamertag.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 18:36, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The people who know about gamertag of E-sports player is restricted to E-sports fan, isn't it? Then, Most of English speakers don't know about gamertag of E-sports player in comparison with their's official name, I think. Thanks. --Idh0854 (talk) 11:33, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's probably true. A slight correction on my last post, I meant to say "the most recognizable name for an esports player" no "the most recognizable player for an esports player", if that changes the semantics of the statement at all, please note.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 22:34, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your proposal: "Rutgers–Newark → Rutgers University–Newark (move · discuss) – full official school name – Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 03:48, 2 April 2015 (UTC)"

I declined this as a technical move. The page is at its current title due to a move discussion in 2013, at Talk:Rutgers–Newark#Requested move. See WP:RM#CM if you would like to open a full move discussion. Per WP:OFFICIAL we prefer the most commonly used name even if it is not the official name. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 04:02, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It seems like the move discussion was concerning the use of the hyphen instead of a dash in the title, not whether "university" was in the title or not. Can you still change the title right now?--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 04:11, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If you read the whole talk page you will see earlier discussion about the title. We can no longer say this would be an 'uncontroversial' move. EdJohnston (talk) 04:27, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think the information your adding is great. Unfortunately, I feel it belongs in a separate article. We should mess around too much with Feature Articles too much without discussion. The information should be relevant in Professional Super Smash Bros. competition. Don't want to steal your mojo, so I'll leave it up to you to make it unless you would like me to start it. For now I am reverting to an earlier version, I think tournament rules set should be separate, I've added the template to all smash articles. Also you may be interested in this discussion. Valoem talk contrib 09:33, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I realize I've always been throwing text into the mainspace without copy editing or references, I guess I'll stop now. I created the article you suggested at Professional Super Smash Bros. competition, but although I'm not sure how good the title is considering only Melee and Smash Wii U to an extent get media coverage.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 22:50, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Just in case your curious Team Final Boss Final Boss (electronic sports team) is an old delete article I always find it easier to work based on something I would go to WP:UNDELETE and ask an admin for the full revision history plus the talk page. They will userfy it for you and you can work on it and move it main space when ready let me know if you need any help, also I am think we should move all gamers to their real common name instead of tag. It looks more professional, and resolves other issues such as gamers changing their tag. What do you think? Also coverage by news seems to be shifting to their birth names so it should take precedence. Valoem talk contrib 23:11, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm opposed to your proposal with some possible exceptions, as seen by my recent activity changing page titles. I'll respond more on on the thread on the Wikipedia talk:Article titles page.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 23:22, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The goal is to view the subject on an encyclopedic level. While rappers and entertainers may have common aliases in terms of eports players alias are more trivial. Our common goal is to establish a general view in doing so we should move all players to their birth common name. Valoem talk contrib 23:46, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Cloud9 (team)

[edit]

The article Cloud9 (team) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability is given. Notability tag was removed without any effort made to show notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WP:COMMONNAME

[edit]

I've done some more research and determined that progamers commonname should be there birth name. For example Mango has been stylzed MaNg0 even though no source stylizes like this only himself. In live tournaments people call PPMD, PeePee or Kevin, sources provided shows both names being used because we write to a general audience we should be using birth names. Let me know if you disagree. Valoem talk contrib 17:16, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've come to agree with you to an extent, however I still think that the player ID should be included in the article title. Basically I think the titles should be written (first) "Nickname" (last). IIRC this practice is listed in several English style guides, and is the de facto format for introducing players in esports journalism. Right now, the only article currently named this way is Marcus "Dyrus" Hill for whatever reason.Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 19:26, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That title is actually incorrect in theory the format is (electronic sports player) or (esports player) unless there are multiple gamers with the same name. I think PC Chris and Leffen are fine that is probably the common name. Zero has to be moved because most people searching Zero is not looking for the gamer. The others I am not so sure but probably safer under birth name. Valoem talk contrib 20:42, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:NICKNAME/WP:STAGENAME (gamertags are sort of stagenames), I still think that the individual's stage name should be in in the article title to some degree. While the guideline does recommend eschewing quotation marks in article titles, occasionally articles like "Weird Al" Yankovic have been named so due to common usage of such quotation marks in media. About the ZeRo article, I don't know what the MOS says about this, but since titles are case sensitive side from the first letter, "ZeRo" is not the same thing as "Zero". So I don't necessarily see why it needs to have parenthetical disambiguation since no other notable thing is also known as "ZeRo". I'd definition bounce this off of some other people though.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 01:33, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The term "electronic sports" in full has fallen out of usage, and it's too the point where esports isn't really even an abbreviation anymore. I'm going to request a move of electronic sports to Esports but I haven't gotten to it yet. If you wanted to do it that would be pretty helpful.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 00:25, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well I think you should open a discussion and get a consensus before making mass changes that go against the existing guidelines and conventions. --The1337gamer (talk) 00:28, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of new eSports articles

[edit]

I understand that you're copying things over from cc-by-sa wikis but can you make sure that each topic has independent notability before you do so? Garena Premier League has only passing mentions in a WP:VG/RS search, so unless it has some secret sources, it's better off merged into some related League competition article. czar  00:51, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There's a quite a bit of non-English language sources out there that haven't been put in yet. Besides, I've looked through WP:VG/RS, and it looks like some notable eSports sources are missing, so it may need some updating.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 00:53, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
WP:VG/RS is for reliable, not necessarily notable sources—meaning that they have fact-checking policies. Propose some additions on the talk page, if you have ideas, but please do that prior to making articles that rely on those sources. czar  01:03, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree with your moves

[edit]

I recommend a move back his common name is PC Chris no other source has ever styled it the way it is on Wikipedia. Also these are some major changes that may require discussion though I do not entirely disagree, definitely disagree for PC Chris though. I think you are misinterpreting WP:NICKNAME, those are for penmanship when the author refers to himself as such. Also I added some of those templates you made to their respective pages. Valoem talk contrib 19:15, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I kind of regret the change now as the new title looks more awkward than I had anticipated. I'll move it back. As for the meaning of WP:NICKNAME I thonk it's still alright if thr individual is commonly referred to as their name by media it should be fine. Hopefully someone more versed in wikipedia MOS can chine in on the discussion at skme point, rather than being back-and-forth with you and me.Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 07:16, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For future reference, you don't usually need to alert anybody when you remove warning tags, that is unless there is a pending discussion in the talk page.Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 07:22, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2015 May newsletter

[edit]
C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) is a long-period comet discovered on 17 August 2014 by Terry Lovejoy; and is one of several Featured Pictures worked up by India The Herald (submissions) during the second round.

The second round one has all wrapped up, and round three has now begun! Congratulations to the 34 contestants who have made it through, but well done and thank you to all contestants who took part in our second round. Leading the way overall was Belarus Cas Liber (submissions) in Group B with a total of 777 points for a variety of contributions including Good Articles on Corona Borealis and Microscopium - both of which received the maximum bonus.

Special credit must be given to a number of high importance articles improved during the second round.

The points varied across groups, with the lowest score required to gain automatic qualification was 68 in Group A - meanwhile the second place score in Group H was 404, which would have been high enough to win all but one of the other Groups! As well as the top two of each group automatically going through to the third round, a minimum score of 55 was required for a wildcard competitor to go through. We had a three-way tie at 55 points and all three have qualified for the next round, in the spirit of fairness. The third round ends on June 28, with the top two in each group progressing automatically while the remaining 16 highest scorers across all four groups go through as wildcards. Good luck to all competitors for the third round! Curse (video gaming) Edit

Hello, I've rolled back an edit made to the Curse Inc. wiki page. You're conflating the eSports holding company with the parent company, Curse Inc. The two are separate entities. The edit has been reverted.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2014 World Championship, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Str8 Rippin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.mlgwiki.com/wiki/Str8_Rippin. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:15, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can you create a page for PartinG

[edit]

I think partingG deserve a wiki article. He is the champion of 2012 StarCraft II World Championship Series which was considered as the most important Starcraft 2 competition. This is the German wiki page for him [1]. This is the liquidpedia page for partinG [2] Also, the same reason, I think you can create a page for sos [3] who is the champion of 2013 StarCraft II World Championship Series. We already have the page for Life [4], the champion of 2014 StarCraft II World Championship Series.

Sure, I'll see what I can pull together. He seems like he's notable enough based on a quick google search and Korean, German, and Polish wikipedia already has a entry for him.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 20:29, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jason Zimmerman and Cinnaminson

[edit]

Your recent edit to the article for Cinnaminson Township, New Jersey added Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman as a notable, but without any source it was removed. This makes you the third person to attempt to add Zimmerman to this article in the past ten days, none of which had a source, or at least any that passed muster. What makes you think he has a connection to Cinnaminson that would be a valid source to support a connection to the township? It's mentioned in his article without a source, nor was I able to find any appropriate sources in a Google search. Given that you and others have tried to add this, do you have any ideas? Alansohn (talk) 00:13, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • [clashtournaments.com/author/ct-mew2king/] This should be an reliable source. For future reference, professional gamers are typically referred to primarily by their gamertags/aliases, so a query for their that name may be more relevant than for their real name.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 02:14, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
