These mods need to wake up!

[edit]

Even though this is an old problem, it still hasn't been resolved!! The CDM List Killer doesn't rest! I bet he just sits in front of his computer like a rock and doesn't even have a job! He's probably over 18 anyway, but he doesn't act like it! He's being dumb by DRAAAAAAAAAAGING this fight on. He can't even spell! It's about time we give the mods a wake-up slap and tell them what's going on! THEY HAVE TO KNOW WHAT THAT $#!+-FOR-BRAINS is doing to the list and kick him out for good! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Link 486 (talkcontribs) 19:51, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Dream are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. This is not the place to post idle thoughts, talk pages are for discussing improvements to main pages. If you are serious about wanting to be an admin, you should really read up on policy - WP:NOT and WP:TALK are both key, basic ones, and you do not seem to be familiar with either. Thanks for reminding me. I thought it would be a good idea to umm.... say the story. Thanks for reminding me, though. Professional Gamer 23:23, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OMG WTF, this wabbit slips out of ouwr gwasp again

[edit]

Well, I berated our CDM List troll for what feels like the millionth time. I just don't see why these mods give him a second chance and just give him tempo bans. He promised to leave Wikipedia if we let him post a fake fight with him in it and win, but we're never going to let him get his way. Don't these mods see? They won't have a choice someday. They shouldn't even let him get another chance to butcher the list; he damages it too much anyway! These mods really need to wake up and smell the coffee... and pour that coffee on 70... whatever his name is now. Link 486 21:55, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GTA Taskforce

[edit]

Hi, Professional Gamer. Although I am not the creator, I would like to invite you to join the GTA taskforce. Its intent (as I'm sure you've guessed) is to improve articles dealing with games within the GTA canon. I've noticed that you have been an active poster on some of the discussion pages, so I thought you might like to join and help us clean up articles. Just go here and add your name to the list. I hate having to keep on doing this

[edit]

Well, I've got another diatribe typed up on his page. I hate having to type that again, and again, and again... Don't you? Link 486 (talk) 20:58, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know, it's insane! He's making us type again just to do it for fun! Man, this guy really needs to get a job or get a life. Professional Gamer (talk) 21:24, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My page was vandalized today

[edit]

The "Favorite Action Movies" column was replaced with "CORN!!!!!!!!! OMG!", the word "Zelda" in my opening paragraph was replaced with "ILIKETOPEEPEEONCATS!" (making it The Legend of ILIKETOPEEPEEONCATS!!), and somebody changed 81.68.92.38. to his new name and put a left parathese ("("). Whoever did this is soooooo gonna get it. More on the CDM vandal

[edit]

At this point, the IP responsible for the most recent vandalism has been blocked for one month. One of three things will happen:

  1. The vandal will give up and go away, and the article will be left alone. (Sadly, the likelihood of this is up there with lasting peace in the Middle East and cold fusion being developed. :( )
  2. The vandal will come back one month later from the same IP, in which case a longer-term block will be given (either six months or one year).
  3. The vandal will come back from a different IP, in which case the article will be protected.

So, the short answer is, if anything happens to the article again, let me know, and I'll be applying a longer-term solution. —C.Fred (talk) 21:47, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Motorstorm-20060117013042007 640w.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Motorstorm-20060117013042007 640w.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:40, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Motorstorm-20060117013042007 640w.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 22:22, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uncyclopedia Deathmatch... has been HUFFED

[edit]

I think it's just stupid... that they didn't want to deal with vandals and just huff it. Either that, or there was too much vandalism to take care of. Ah, well... I liked some of the matches, though... But, this was an old problem that was being dragged on by The Uber Douche-Fag, and I was getting kind of tired of putting up with his childish, bad-typing bullsh*t all the time. Link 486 (talk) 13:37, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, this sucks. Well, at least you can make your own matches right from your userpage. Professional Gamer (talk) 13:03, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
