Capitalization
[edit]Thanks for your improvements to Acute alcohol intoxication. Normally, as a matter of proper written English, only sentences begin with capital letters. Consequently, items in a list that make up the second half of a sentence are not capitalized. I will correct these for you in a minute to save you the trouble.
Also, while America has "emergency rooms", this is not the term used all over the world. Other places call them "emergency departments" or "A&Es". We try to use words that make sense to the whole world, instead of names that are specific to one place.

- Hi. Thanx for the welcome. You've probably guessed that I'm better at science than english...but welcome any suggestions/criticisms you have as I try to learn this vast world of Wiki. ER's are also called Emergency Wards and other things...haven't heard of A&E's. Wonder (if you know) what country/continent might use that appelation? And thanx for the corrections.
And, I'm editing things that "come to mind". Is there a list of things that need more work? Proney (talk) 22:42, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think that A&E is "accident and emergency" in the UK.
- Are you interested primarily in medical topics? You might like to hang out at the doctor's mess for ideas about what articles have people's attention or need help.
- Also, you might be interested in knowing about WP:MEDMOS (the style guide for medicine-related articles, complete with a list of suggested sections that's handy for figuring out what's missing from an article) and WP:MEDRS, which is useful for figuring out the ideal sources for perfect articles. They're both useful for getting a handle on how things are done.
- If you want to tell me a little more about your interests, I could probably suggest a couple of articles for you to consider. WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:03, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

The year 2011 has brought many changes to the State of Colorado. We have a new Governor and other state officers, two new U.S. Representatives, many new state legislators, and a new Mayor of Denver. WikiProject Colorado is updating many Colorado articles. Many Colorado places, people, and organizations need new articles. Portal:Colorado needs new featured articles.

We welcome you to have a look the journal. Feel free to participate.
You can participate in any one or more of the following ways:
- Publish an article to the journal.
- Sign up as a peer reviewer of potential upcoming articles. If you do not have expertise in these subjects, you can help in finding peer reviewers for current submissions.
- Sign up as an editor, and help out in open tasks.
- Outreach to potential contributors, with can include (but is not limited to) scholars and health professionals. In any mention of Wikiversity Journal of Medicine, there may be a reference to this Contribute-page. Example presentation about the journal.
- Add a post-publication review of an existing publication. If errors are found, there are guidelines for editing published works.

We are partnering with the Indiana State Fair to offer FREE tickets to the fair for Wikipedians! We will be meeting on July 30th at 10am to pass out tickets and have a quick info session before we attend the fair (feel free to branch off and share your accomplishments on the Meetup page later!) Detailed instructions on how the day will go is available on the Meetup page! We hope you'll join us to edit about things related to fair (historic buildings, foods, animals, activities, and the fair itself). All levels of experience are welcome!
