Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising. For more information on this, see:

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Publitassolutions) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guideline to avoid editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is Publitas. Thank you.

Dear Elizium23. Thank you for your constructive criticism. I suppose you have tagged the article Publitas for clean-up/deletion. Yes, I have a close connection with the subject as I am an employee of the company Publitas. I tried to write the article as neutrally as I could. Apparently I didn't do too well so I will review this article once more and rewrite it. I understand your arguments to some extent. However, it remains unclear to me as to why there are different criteria for different pages. In my opinion, other businesses operating in the same industry have a very similar Wikipedia page (e.g. Texterity, Mygazines, Zmag, Issuu). How come none of their articles (except for one, Zmag) are tagged for advertisement? I understand that the purpose of having a Wikipedia article is to inform people about something. In this case, I am trying to inform readers about a company named Publitas. If I were trying to promote it I would be spending my time on Google AdWords, not here. It was never my intention to use this article and Wikipedia to promote a company. I would appreciate any further comments on how I, or somebody else, could fix this issue. I am not the person who tagged the article for deletion. In my opinion, it was quite salvageable in its existing form by some careful editing. However, someone else seemed to think it was overly promotional in tone, and a deleting administrator agreed. I would first suggest that you re-register with a new username. Also, read WP:COI for the guidelines on how to deal with your conflict of interest regarding the company and related articles. Notably, you will want to state up front, probably on your User: page, that you work for the company. Frankly, it is better to have someone else create and do most of the editing on the company page, because it more readily establishes notability for the subject matter. At any rate, a well-written article will need to have citations to reliable sources that are verifiable. The company is considered notable if and only if it has been the subject of coverage in those secondary sources. Good luck in the future. Elizium23 (talk) 01:23, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Electronic publishing do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. My76Strat 01:02, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, your account has been blocked; you are welcome to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.  7  03:24, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
