Fair use rationale for Image:Hotelciprianilogo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hotelciprianilogo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 12:44, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Hotelciprianilogo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Hotelciprianilogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Image copyright problem with Image:Villasanmichelelogo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Villasanmichelelogo.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:19, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Keswick Hall
[edit]A tag has been placed on Keswick Hall, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mayalld (talk) 15:38, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Belmond Afloat in France
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Belmond Afloat in France requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. RichardOSmith (talk) 12:43, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
I previously nominated the article you created with this title for speedy deletion on the grounds of notability and it has remained on my watchlist. The recreated article you have just submitted is not, in my opinion, speedy deletable for that reason as the references you have given provide credible indication of notability, nor is it promotionally written. I have marked it as patrolled. If any other user does nominate it for speedy deletion on either of those grounds please feel free to contest it and reference this comment; an article cannot be speedily deleted if any other user contests it. I won't be online to watch it myself. RichardOSmith (talk) 20:54, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, PurpleSpiderSpider. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
- instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. DGG ( talk ) 04:11, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
- You asked me to help you revert a redirect.. Normally I would answer that anyone can do it--except in special circumstances it does not require an admin. . But since it seems clear that you have a conflict of interest, working on multiple articles on a chain of hotels and nothing else, it would be considered inappropriate, though not absolutely forbidden. The most important thing to do is to add references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements --the only third party sources you have are about the location and do not mention the lodge, except for a an advertisement-like internal page of a site from a commercial safari company. .
- The same problem of sourcing is present in many of the other articles on hotels in this chain. Another problem in them, which you can fix more immediately, is that according to WP:EL we list only the subject's principal website, not other social media sites. I'm going to defer redirecting the other similarly sourced articles to give you a chance to fix them. But please note from WP:N that the best solution for a chain like this may be a combination article, like Belmond Afloat in France -- for which you should make redirects from the individual boats, which people might reasonable look up. )
- As for declaring conflict of interest, I could reasonably take the view that it is so obvious that it need not be said, but according to the current rules, you do need to declare it explicitly. DGG ( talk ) 11:31, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- I see you did revert my redirect on Belmont Island. I'm going to AfD again, on the grounds that I tried but failed to remove the promotionalism. I'm also giving you a warning about undeclared paid editing. People have been blocked for this. The best course is to declare. DGG ( talk ) 12:57, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, yes I am editing this today - please allow me time to complete the revisions, many thanks. PurpleSpiderSpider (talk) 14:48, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- yes, of course I'll wait. But please remember about declaring COI. It is not optional. DGG ( talk ) 17:23, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

The article Belmond Napasai has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Potential WP:PROMO and fails GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
