Sauti za Busara

[edit]

Hello Pwezapweza (meaning "octopus octopus" if my swahili doesn't fool me?). There is no problem for me to answer your questions, but please consider reading some introductory material on wikipedia for your own benefit, your questions tell me that you're new here... I will try anyway to explain.

First, there's no such thing as "administrative rights for a page" and no one that "controls" the page. On Wikipedia, everyone can contribute to whatever page the way he likes to. If someone does bad changes and vandalisms other users will probably revert those edits, but otherwise any edit is welcome. In particular, if you want to add/modify the Sauti za Busara page, all you have to do is click on the "edit" tab on top page, and you're on your way. Modify the text and save it with the "save" button, that's it. There are "rules" or "policies" to what kind of changes are actually welcome and which may cause criticism and be rollbacked, but don't be afraid to try in good faith to do what you think is good; if something is not in line with Wikipedia's policies, someone will tell you. Also feel free to ask me for whatever doubt.

Next, yes, it's me that created the page. I have been creating mini-pages ("stubs") and richer pages for several Zanzibar-related issues this year.

The Facebook page and the Wikipedia page are two different things, with different purposes; you cannot expect to ever "control" the Wikipedia page (while of course you will control the Facebook page if you create it). The purpose of Wikipedia pages is to share knowledge about things, and whoever has knowledge about a topic is more than entitled to share it editing the page. Remember that the Sauti za Busara page on Wikipedia is not - and cannot be - a page that you use to promote events, advertise, or for anything less than just, simply, sharing the knowledge of what Sauti za Busara is. For everything else, use the Facebook page. What you can do in Wikipedia is adding a link to the Facebook page, provided it is the actual official page, as an external link on bottom page. Well... I'll do that for you to show you how it works.

Welcome on Wikipedia and remember that you're here to share knowledge. We're lucky enough to have different places in the Internet to do different things. As long as you contribute to Wikipedia according to its purpose, you're on the right track.

Facebook page/group for Sauti za Busara

[edit]

Hello pwezapweza, yes, I known nothing about SzB's facebook page or group. I'm not in any way affiliated to Sauti za Busara, just created the page to share what I knew about it, as it is a notable event. I'm not an "admin" of any page on the issue, not here, not on Facebook. If you need further clarifications, you can write to me at moongateclimber_AT_hotmail.com.
