Comment about what namespace temporary template is in?
[edit]Hi, you changed one of my personal sandbox pages. I don't understand your comment. There is a template, for example, here 2021 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team#Conference matrix. The way it works now is for the table to be recreated for each new year and start filling in the cells in the table and update it throughout the season, completing it after the regular season ends. It is very cumbersome to recreate, update, and complete. There is a main template I am working on at Template:Template sandbox. But it really required that that template call a couple of other templates to keep it from becoming much too large and really cumbersome to create itself. I am using my personal sandbox pages to create these other templates and also to call Template:Template sandbox and pass parameters to it. I was of the very strong impression that sandboxes are for trying out what may become new pages and talk pages are for talking, not trying what may become new pages. When, and if, I have it working to my satisfaction I intend to submit it for review and discussion, but not until I have it working to my satisfaction. Jay Jor (talk) 21:25, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Since I am in the midst of working on it, I am going to revert it and continue using it, until I haar back from you and come to some understanding. Jay Jor (talk) 21:35, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- I just noticed the reference to User:AnomieBOT/docs/TemplateSubster. As I read it, it has nothing to do with namespaces, but rather substituting templates, which is obviously not applicable to templates that are being developed. Jay Jor (talk) 21:41, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, I thought this was a public page, sorry if I mistakened your sandbox page for a public sandbox page. RandomWikiPerson_277talk page or something 20:34, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- That's okay, no harm done. It's a learning experience; how well I know for myself. :-) Jay Jor (talk) 23:39, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

- Hello,
- The reason why I created this page is because I was doing a project for a sandbox page, and it was fully complicated. I was just making a proposal for an 11 line service, called the Flushing-Greenpoint Local, running in Queens and Brooklyn. I was testing things out in my sandbox page with the NYCS station template, but it's completly compicated. I had to edit and create multiple pages to get it compelete, but it was a total mess. The proposed 11 service would run between Flushing-Main Street in Queens. and the intersection of Bedford Av and Grand St in Brooklyn. I tested out the track layout at first and it worked fine, but the NYCS station information template, it was a complete mess. And I mean a HUGE mess. Please understand that I was only doing this for testing. I didn't meant to introduce hoaxes. RandomWikiPerson_277talk page or something 18:24, 7 December 2023 (UTC)

Template experimentation
[edit]To experiment with templates please use Template:Template sandbox, or one of the other template sandboxes like Template:X1, Template:X2, etc. If you need further assistance with template coding you may also inquire at the WP:TEAHOUSE, or at WP:VPT, thank you. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:24DE:F159:39FF:48EF (talk) 18:39, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
About my template edits
[edit]I had no idea this counted as "vandalism", I did that to test and see which of the sandboxes get cleared by Cyberbot I when it's their time to do so, and I got my answer from my experimentation: X1-X20 are these sandboxes. Sorry if that caused any trouble. And sorry about that, I didn't know you were working on something on X45. 1033Forest (talk) 15:38, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
