Non-free rationale for File:Zen garden-en.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Zen garden-en.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (tc) 03:13, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback post-edit

[edit]

Hey, if you'd like to have this feature on Italian Wikiquote, just file a bug requesting it, under MediaWiki extensions > PostEdit. That way we have the request documented properly. Thanks, Steven Walling (WMF) • talk 18:43, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pending release of Notifications

[edit]

Hey Raoli :). I'm dropping you a note because you have signed up for the Notifications, or Echo, newsletter.

If all goes according to plan, we should be launching Echo on en-wiki either tomorrow, or next Tuesday - I'll drop a followup tomorrow when we know what's happening. Should the launch succeed, we'll begin the process of triaging bugs and gathering feedback on what features work, what cause problems, and what we should do next; I hope you'll help us out on these fronts by leaving any comments you might have on the talkpage.

Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 22:05, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

[edit]

I have read the article on the Italian Wikipedia and it says that I was paid from projects funded by WMUK! Is this new information that you have added as it is completely wrong and can you delete it immediately. QRpedia was mine (and Terence Eden's) - we created it before whilst I was the first British Wikipedian in Residence. Gibraltarpedia was not funded by WMUK and WMUK paid no money to Monmouth County Council who employed me. Can you tell me where you got this incorrect information? Victuallers (talk) 14:20, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry been tothe pub - not OK Im having the English version changed...I'll advise. Im wondering if your new mega article would be better off forked as an Italian version of the Japanese and Welsh article on "Wikitown" Victuallers (talk) 20:08, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think you may have misunderstood - I am suggesting a page on Wikitowns or "list of Wikitowns" - this would leave out detail on QRpedia and just list the known notable wiki towns - including the two emerging in Italy. On the English Wikipedia Gibraltarpedia, Monmouthpedia and Freopedia have their own articles ... but none of the others have more than a project page and they would be deleted I think if they existed too. Victuallers (talk) 17:04, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Raoli, I do appreciate your care... and the language lesson in Italian :-) I will have a look tomorrow but Wikipedia is unfair as it quotes rumour and allows bias. I am also interested in helping the Italian projects. Is there a good way I can help? If I could cover my travel then I would like to see what you plan to do. Another town in Italy has asked me whether I would help them create a wikitown. Projects like Bremenpedia are showing how projects can be run where the first language is not English. Best wishes Victuallers (talk) 22:18, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
