If you want to write about an Italian classical cellist, then the way to do it is to write the article (see the guidance above) and add Category:Italian classical cellists at the bottom; this adds it to the category for you. Adding names directly to the category isn't the way to do it, so I've removed the changes you made. Let me know if you need help. Regards, BencherliteTalk 15:04, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Mario Brunello
[edit]Just wondering if you are translating this from the italian wikipedias article on the subject. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:06, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
I have checked the Italian version, but I have a lot more information on the subject by myself being a passionate listener of classical music and a cello lover.Rcamillini (talk) 12:27, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
The article Gian Carlo Guicciardi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence that this person meets our notability guidelines. Google News only returns two trivial sources.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 16:12, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:MumCat_and_kittens.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:MumCat_and_kittens.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 10:23, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
File:MumCat and kittens.jpg missing description details
[edit]If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.
If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:20, 9 September 2010 (UTC)File:Mario Brunello.jpg unknown copyright
[edit]{{helpme}} I have found this image on many website (se below), can I presume it is in the public domain? http://www.starkinsider.com/2011/01/ton-koopman-leads-the-sf-symphony-in-haydns-cello-concerto-no-2-with-mario-brunello-feb-9-12.html

- I'm sorry, but no, we can never assume.
- We need absolute proof that an image is 'free' - either in the form of a declaration of copyright status, or proof that it is out-of-copyright (e.g. very old).
- See Wikipedia:Finding_images_tutorial#Do I need to know the copyright and licensing status of the image?.

File:Mario Brunello.jpg copyright issue with more information
[edit]{{helpme}} I have found the real source of the image: http://www.amcmusic.com/ It is the website of "Artists Management Company" who represents Mario Brunello (the artist pictured in the photo), in the website presentation it is stated:
"Artists Management Company welcomes you to its website. The aim of this site is to provide you with up to date information about the artists we represent. You can download high-resolution pictures for your concert programmes as well as the biographies, concert dates and programme details"
Do you think that this is enough to allow the use of the photo in the wiki article I'm working on? Thanks
Replaceable fair use File:Mario Brunello.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Mario Brunello.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 07:48, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
