Hi on Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hi there Rd003, I got your message on Storm2k, I hope you get this one too. Thanks for uploading those images for the SWIO. That's a big help. Do you usually track storms in the SWIO, or another basin? And are you looking at working on new or older storms? There are lots of ways of editing and helping out the world's knowledge of these beasts of nature. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:56, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, that's a great way to get your feet wet, just clicking around the basins and getting used to them. If you're looking for a neglected basin that has really access to sources, consider the Australian basin. Their Bureau of Meteorology publishes as many documents as the National Hurricane Center does, and unlike SWIO, everything is in English! (except for the odd storm affecting Indonesia). You will probably find similar storms in the Australian basin that need images. If you're looking for a notable southern hemisphere storm that doesn't have an article, consider Cyclone Aivu, which was a Category 4/5, and hit northeastern Australia. But if you're just looking at exploring for now, that's fine too ^_^ ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 15:58, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article suggestions

Hi, @Rd003! I can see you like editing tropical cyclone articles in the South-West Indian Ocean. Here are some articles the tropical cyclone WikiProject needs, or at least would be better off with.
