Hello, I'm Belwine. I noticed that in this edit to Robert Lee Moore, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Belwine (talk) 16:58, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Remitbuber. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Adrián Macías, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Remitbuber. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Remitbuber|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. It's quite clear that you are either being paid to edit or that you have a conflict of interest. Please do not ignore these messages. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 20:45, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Adrián Macías, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Remitbuber, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Remitbuber|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 20:47, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, as you did at Adrián Macías, you may be blocked from editing. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 20:49, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Adrián Macías. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 20:56, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You still have not adequately responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying you may be blocked from editing. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 10:05, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Remitbuber. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Nicolás Atanes, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. — MarkH21talk 20:41, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Blas Méndez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. First things first: it seems pretty clear that you have a COI pertaining to this Virus Matematico and the people associated with it. You need to declare that, and act in accordance with our guidelines. Further, you created a whole bunch of articles on individual annual conferences: those are now deleted (via WP:CSD A7), for being non-notable, and unacceptably sourced (including with a Facebook link, but mostly with primary sources linking to the organization). Please reconsider what our guidelines are for article writing, particularly in terms of notability and verification. And please consider that undeclared COI editing and promotional editing are not allowed on Wikipedia. Drmies (talk) 20:45, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Adrián Macías has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No signs of notability per WP:BIO or WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The page General Assembly of the International Mathematical Union has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://www.mathunion.org/organization/general-assembly. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion ReviewDiannaa (talk) 21:16, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Virus Matemático requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
