Valenciano, I am a new contributor to wikipeadia. I have added reference to the evan strong page. Please review to let me know if more references are required to remove the warning at the top of the article. Thanks, Roger Strong

Hello Roger, yes what you've added looks fine, well done on good work on the article. The only thing you should do is replace the hypertext links with references For example "Strong won the men's para-snowboard World championship title in 2012." would be better as "Strong won the men's para-snowboard World championship title in 2012" [1] though it would be better if you could find a more independent source (press report etc) that says that. It's 23:30 here so I'll have another look at the article for you over the weekend when I've more time. In the meantime, if you need any help you can drop a line on my talk page (User_talk:Valenciano) or ask at the help desk. Also don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages by adding four tildes (~) at the end. All the best, Valenciano (talk) 20:33, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I will drop the hyperlinks and convert them to references. Thank you for your help reviewing and editing the article. Roger — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.199.68.211 (talk) 21:26, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Evan Strong may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Hi Roger. I just wanted to stop by and say hello and let you know about Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy.

In short, it's generally asked that editors not edit article when they have a close connection with the subject. I assume you're Evan's dad and didn't want you to get blindsided by any editors who may see the conflict of interest as a reason to be a bit overzealous in checking the article for issues.

I looked over the article and it's a great article for the first article you've ever created. I don't mean to sound patronizing, you've done a great job. Most first time editors make lots of mistakes, especially if there's a conflict of interests. It looks like you've either done your homework or know enough to write an encyclopedic article. Either way, it looks great.

I've added the article to my watchlist meaning that any changes made to the article will show up in a list I monitor regularly. I'm doing this in case you run into any trouble with other editors or accidentally violate and policies or guidelines.

After it looks like you're done editing for a little while, I'll make a few corrections that caught in a quick skim of the article. If you have any question, you can ask here and I'll help out as best I can.

Have a great rest of the afternoon! OlYeller21Talktome 19:33, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All self published sources have been removed. please review and if satisfied, please remove the alert at top of article. I also invite any arms distance wiki editor to review the article for accuracy so that the other alert can be removed as well. Thanks Rogerestrong (talk) 22:18, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
