I am active in Wikipedia... but more in the German one.

How come you're interested in Islam in Romania? Latinitas 07:45, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

just a coincidence. Originally I started in German Wikipedia with "Islam in Russia" because I had some relations to the Kasan Tatars, then "Islam in Ukraine" and "Islam in Poland" followed automatically. "Islam in Romania" (my German version is more detailed) was the next logical step, now I am preparing "Islam in Bulgaria" and "Islam in Macedonia". The German wikipedia is still missing most of those Islam-by-country-articles. --Roksanna 08:09, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting. You also said on your talk page from German version that you grew up in Germany and also Soviet Union. Where exactly in SU? Viel glück zum Deiner Diplomarbeit! --Latinitas 08:20, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, thanks. The diploma is already finished. I had been living long time in Moscow and Crimea. --Roksanna 08:26, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, couldn´t you improve end extend the Islam-in-Hungary-article a bit? For example add some former ottoman grand viziers came from turkish Hungary? Or could you add a few names of the thousand Hungarians who converted with Josef Bem in 1849? :-) --Roksanna 08:33, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. Glad to do it. --Latinitas 12:08, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ilia

[edit]

I reverted your change to the Ilia disambiguation page. I explain why I don't feel that the page should list everyone who has the name on the article's talk page, Talk:Ilia. Now that you know why I reverted your edit, I won't revert it again if you put it back in. BigNate37(T) 19:12, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It´s fine, but there should be an extra disambiguation about famous holders of that name. --Roksanna 19:59, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mihnea

[edit]

I don't have a clue on his dates of birth and death. Something tells me they are unknown. Dahn 11:13, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What a pity! But thanks. --Roksanna 14:01, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your grammar correction was actually a funny one, being a Wikipedia version of a Freudian slip. Cheers :o)--mrg3105 (comms) ♠14:05, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I read the link on the coat of arms, but see if I dont report you for your comment:

To me, the new coat of arms is merely a modern recreation of the 17th century version
Dear User, what kind of stupid argumentation is that? It is absolut not relevant what this 1666 version seems to you, private opinions are nothing against facts. And fact is, that the 1666 version has a provable source from the time when the kingdom still really did exist. Your version however ist just a private creation from the 21st century, 100 years after the kingdom was abolished. So where are your sources or citations? WHERE??? --Roksanna (talk) 22:46, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Daher el-Omar

[edit]

Too bad that you seem to be more interested in pushing a political agenda than anything else. In the 18th century Ottoman empire there was no administrative unit called "Palestine", only vague historical memories of the old Caliphal Jund Filastin, which did NOT include the area where Dhahir ruled. So basically only Europeans would have called that area "Palestine" at the time, and not the actual inhabitants of the area. Furthermore, the expression "northern Palestine" is very vague and indeterminate, and unfortunately does very little to convey an accurate idea of the area that Dhahir actually ruled over. AnonMoos (talk) 03:39, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. The Ottomans themselves chose to give him the title of ""Sheikh of Acre, Amir of Nazareth, Tiberias, Safed, and Sheikh of all Galilee"... AnonMoos (talk) 03:43, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
