romayan - please, use reliable sources for your edits. some of your edits are excellent, but some aren't! if you need help, let me know... Soosim (talk) 13:34, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hi Soosim! the only sources that I could find so far is what I mentioned. But both you and I know exactly what is happening. No one wrote about it in these specific words: "they ignore the law, continue to build and later get evacuated". All I have is several evacuations after the court ruling. And it brings us to a logical conclusion. Why not a single one of the sources I brought is a reliable source if this is the only thing that I can get from it? btw, can I use here a source in another language (Hebrew)? Thanks for you credit

I am not sure how I can send you a message... Here is my e-mail address for contact: romayanu@gmail.com

romayan - even if we both know what is happening, we can't use a source which is not reliable. but, yes, a hebrew source is ok - there are sufficient hebrew readers here who can correct it if it is wrong. translate 2 sentences at most, use the source, and let's see how it goes. Soosim (talk) 06:36, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Soosim - ok, thanks for the tip. another question - how do I initiate a message when I want to send it to you, f.e.?
you can always leave a message on my talk page. that is the accepted way, and most people monitor their talk manually, receive a message when they login that there is a new note on their talk page, or they receive an email notice when there is a change. Soosim (talk) 09:02, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is a WP:BLP - please don't add material to this article without sources that clearly pass WP:RS (and aren't written by him). Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 10:25, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am not trying to harm Moni Aizik, he is known across the martial arts world to be a liar and a fraud - proven with the multi-million dollar lawsuit bought against him, the UK's advertising standards agency ruling against him and that some of his lies are so blatant that you can use simple maths to work out he is telling untruths; such as his 'collaboration' with Imi on Krav Maga. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A YOUNG BOY when Imi LEFT the Israeli Defence Forces. Even former Israeli SF soldiers have spoken out about him. I am simply putting truths onto Wikipedia. You are defending lies and propagating untruths. Apologies if this sounds like a rant, it is not. Get his name into Google and you will see how far the lies go. Respectfully, Pete829179.

In fact you ARE trying to harm him. The lawsuit (initiated by Moni's competitives) is closed, and the ASA charges are lifted. I guess you are one of his commercial competitives if you are so active.Romayan (talk) 07:06, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No in fact I am not trying to harm him. The ASA ruling is not lifted. You cannot advertise using statements you cannot prove in the UK. Moni cannot prove most of his claims because most of his claims are lies. Why do you not put into practise what I suggested? Do some maths. Or are you afraid of the answers YOU will find, no that I tell you of? I try to be civil about it and you choose to be ignorant. So be it. You clearly have an interest in promoting him. Leave it there, shall we?

Pete829179.

I checked it all in person, without trusting anyone, I contacted the ASA and they told me that the ruling is indeed lifted and he can claim what he previously was questioned. I also checked out the court and saw the ruling. This case is also closed. You can do it, too. But I see that you feel more comfortable with the negative outdated stuff. I am not getting into details who said who. The question is who caused harm to who? And the other question is why was this harm caused? Why are you so much against Moni? Did he cause any harm to you?Romayan (talk) 07:06, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This is simply a matter of our policies and guidelines. If the ASA has lifted the ruling they will have published a statement, and if that can be sourced to the ASA website or perhaps a major newspaper we can add that to the article. This is not personal, but we cannot take your word for it, that's against our basic policies. I don't care about Moni, just Wikipedia. Dougweller (talk) 07:30, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I will see what can be done here. Thank you. Romayan (talk) 15:56, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok Romayan. Do this: Take Moni's age. Take the date Imi Lichtnefield left the IDF. Compare them. Does the collaboration Moni claims seem in any way plausible? No. It does not. Look at the interview on knife defence where Moni claims that the tactical simultaneous defence and counter attack won't work and are dangerous. Well that is a CORE principle of Krav Maga. Why does Moni not know that? Because no where can his Krav Maga instructor qualification be found. Because he does not have one. He was not SF. He was a fitness instructor. An accomplished Jiu Jutsu and Judo guy, that is all. There is no record on either side of that battle with two to three thousand Iranians that only he and one other survived. Does none of that strike you as suspicious? If you cannot be objective, should you really be editing Wikipedia? Here, have a look at this http://martialartslies.blogspot.co.uk/2009/11/moni-aizik.html - the authors have gone to great lengths to break down his claims objectively. Some are actually affirmed such is the extent of their objectivity. I cannot use this link on wiki here as it would break the sources rules. But have a look. Be objective. Pete829179
Here, you know what, I've done it for you. Imi left the IDF (after creating Krav Maga) in 1964. Moni Aizik was born in 1954. Now go look at the Black Belt magazine issue where he claims he spent a year working with Imi on Krav Maga's "improvement". Or the video explaining how he collaborated with Imi. He is a liar. Pete829179 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pete829179 (talkcontribs) 11:46, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't answer my question - did he do anything to you? Why are you trying to cause him damage? I see that you come from a newly created account and it brings up questions. As for the certain facts that you mentioned I will check it out. BTW, most of these examples were not mentioned in the article when I edited it. Romayan (talk) 15:59, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I did answer your question. I am not trying to harm him. He did nothing to me specifially, he did a great disservice to a dead man (Imi) and cheapened Krav Maga with his lies in trying to rewrite it's history. He lied to literally thousands of people. He continues to lie to thousands of people. I am trying to have the truth told - but sadly for Moni Aizik the truth WILL harm him because of the lies he has told. So please tell me, why are you so vehemently protecting him? Pete829179 (talk) 19:37, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content, as you did to Moni Aizik, without verifying it by citing reliable sources. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Forums can never be used as sources, "Never use self-published sources—including but not limited to books, zines, websites, blogs, and tweets—as sources of material about a living person, unless written or published by the subject (see below). "Self-published blogs" in this context refers to personal and group blogs. Some news organizations host online columns that they call blogs, and these may be acceptable as sources so long as the writers are professionals and the blog is subject to the newspaper's full editorial control." And if you use them, they have to be attributed to make it clear who is making the claim/statement etc. Dougweller (talk) 16:05, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I will remove the links to blogs. Romayan (talk) 16:11, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Look, I see no point in warring with real Wikipedia editors. But so far I see people wanting to harm M.A. and his reputation and I don't understand who is against who. Help me to improve the article, and I will be helpful to you. But I see that you removed the photo that was posted here with full permission of M.A., you removed my text with numerous links and brought back an old version with a lot of biased info and inaccuracies. This is simply not fair.Romayan (talk) 22:58, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Abu Basma Regional Council (divided into Al-Kasom and Neve Midbar Regional Councils on 5 November 2012). Replaceable fair use File:Abu Basma map.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Abu Basma map.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:35, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
