[edit]Hello! I'm RTao. Your recent edit(s) to the page Autostereoscopy appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. RTao (talk) 01:04, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for pointing this out. I re-did the edit with an added source. Rosedaler (talk) 03:26, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
Please respect national varieties of dates
[edit]Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Jeffrey Dahmer. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.
For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.
If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. MarconiCheese (talk) 16:55, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. I have left a comment about this on your talk page. Rosedaler (talk) 18:03, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

"Incorrect notice""?
[edit]Rosedaler, there wasn't anything "incorrect" (or inappropriate) about my placement of the WP:ACDS GENSEX notice since you have edited concerning one or more topics to which that set of sanctions applies. The notice doesn't imply (and is fairly explicit that it doesn't imply) any problems with your editing of these topics. Also, the effect of the notice is not reduced in any way if you feel it to be "incorrect" and/or remove it from your page. Please let me know if any of this seems unclear to you. Happy editing.ย :) Newimpartial (talk) 18:49, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. I saw something about controversies in the notice, and I felt that the notice was not matching my activity on Wikipedia. I want to stay far away from any controversies. I just want to contribute and make language clearer in some articles. Rosedaler (talk) 23:06, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- Which is fine, but your edits to Cisgender, Gender studies and Transgender are definitely within the domain of the notice. Just letting you know. Newimpartial (talk) 23:44, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

List of geolocation-based video games moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, List of geolocation-based video games, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - I'll add more sources. But please let me know before moving the article back to draft space if you do it again. Rosedaler (talk) 10:36, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- Good, but please do not just cut and past the article back into the main space, another editor will review it and take care of that side of it. This may take some time. If you cut and paste it back into the mainspace you are just creating extra unnecessary work for other editors. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 10:49, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- It's a pretty simple list article. I'm citing the same sources that have already been cited on their respective wikipedia article pages. There isn't much to review. I am still planning to move it back to article space once I have added all the sources properly. Rosedaler (talk) 10:52, 10 October 2022 (UTC)

- My bad Rosedaler (talk) 11:27, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- But you have now cut and pasted the text from draft back into the mainspace again. Now the article exists both is draft and mainspace. Should I redirect it back to draft for you or will you clean up this mess yourself? Hughesdarren (talk) 11:58, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- I'll take care of it. thx Rosedaler (talk) 11:59, 10 October 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into List of geolocation-based video games. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:44, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Hi, this was a draft that I started and published into main space. I copied and pasted because another user kept moving my article back into draft space. But all of the edits were just my own edits for the one day where I was making the article. Rosedaler (talk) 04:52, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with SteamVR. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. VickKiang (talk) 07:24, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- This circumstance warrants removing the notice, as it was added in error. I'd like to close the discussion but it's not clear how I can go about doing that. Rosedaler (talk) 07:28, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- How do I close an AfD that was started in error? Rosedaler (talk) 07:29, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- You could close by clicking preferences, then go to the gadgets section, before adding XFD closer. However, because you converted the redirect to the article closing so would be considered an inappropriate non-admin close that would be likely overturned at DRV. Thanks! VickKiang (talk) 07:30, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Howdy there! I'm going to be blunt: If I see you revert one more editor with a rationale such as "was done in error/mistake", I'll block you. You don't get to decide that other experienced editors have made a mistake in opening a discussion. -- ferret (talk) 16:56, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- I don't like how you're threatening to block me. The edit was indeed made in error by another user. They believed SteamVR was an abandoned platform when in reality it is currently used by millions of people. This was easily googleable in two seconds. Given this, I also dispute your use of the term "experienced editor." Rosedaler (talk) 16:59, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
