90210
[edit]Please stop with your edits to the 90210 pages regarding Silver. The network bills her simply as "Silver" and that's what she's been called throughout the show, that takes precedent over what the full name is. Jayy008 (talk) 21:43, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Playboy celebrities
[edit]I see you added another name to the list of celebrities that has appeared in the pages of Playboy. Consensus has been reached on the issue and the list is to be kept to ten (10) names per category. If you'd like to bring this issue up again, please post on article's talk page where it can be discussed again. Thanks, Dismas|(talk) 21:32, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you. I actually have a question on my last edit. I used the site SpoilerTV in my cite reference, but only in the sense that it contained a link to an actually reliable source, the CW Primetime Calender. Is this wrong? I could not find a way to find the calender on another site so I just cited form there seeing as the CW Primetime Calender itself is a reliable source. Ryanlively (talk) 19:49, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry to but in, but CW Primetime is reliable as long as it's directly to them. Using an unreliable source as a stepping stone isn't allowed (I recently tried). Jayy008 (talk) 19:51, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. I'll just find try to find it from another site then. Ryanlively (talk) 19:53, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- CW primetime calender is usually available, I don't understand why we can't find it. I'll have a look around too. Jayy008 (talk) 19:59, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for the spelling corrections on the 90210 page. Appreciate your help with my sloppy English :) Jayy008 (talk) 20:41, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- No Problem. I just noticed that I miss typed in my messages above. Ryanlively (talk) 20:47, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- It didn't notice. Have you found a source for CW's mid-season dates and titles? Jayy008 (talk) 21:00, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- No, I haven't. I'm still going to try looking, but I'm not sure where I could find their Primetime Calendar. Anywhere I find it, it's on some sort of spoiler site, with no link to a direct source for it.
- I just found the CW Primetime Calendar from it's direct source. I'm going to start the edits now. Ryanlively (talk) 00:44, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Edit-warring
[edit]Thank you for your recent help in resolving disagreements. It's highly appreciated, I think I may have lost my cool with ClaudeKade, though. Woops. That's an example of what not to do lol. Jayy008 (talk) 16:52, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- No Problem. Ryanlively (talk) 17:24, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Since the discussion has turned into a pointless argument. Should we just leave the image as it is? Jayy008 (talk) 18:15, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think so. I didn't understand the need to change it in the first place. Ryanlively (talk) 22:31, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Nor me. I'll just leave it alone, then. Jayy008 (talk) 23:14, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
90210
[edit]Do you think this is good enough information to put a "season four" section on the main page? Even, though, there's no official word on renewal. It tells you what season four will be about and that they will definitely not be there "next season." Maybe a header of "season 4" and just what it's about, and not actually say "90210 was renewed..." Or should we wait? Jayy008 (talk) 19:59, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- I think that we should wait. Season four hasn't officially been announced, and even though I personally think it will be picked up for a new season, that would still technically be speculation, which would turn this into a spoiler site, which it is not. It think it's best if we hold off on the information for now. Ryanlively (talk) 00:15, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
- Definitely a good plan. Sorry to post about the discussion, I know it's kinda obvious that you'd say why somebody is leaving the show when the source tells you it, but I guess that's not the case for others. I expect an announcement within the next two weeks, though! Jayy008 (talk) 00:22, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Images
[edit]I don't know if the Wikipedia page is different for different internet browsers, but I use Google Chrome - So here goes! Go to left of the page and click "toolbox" and upload file. Choose from the options and go to an already existing similar image to copy the licensing, just change the information to make it individual to your new image. For example the 90210 poster says "Promotional poster for the third season of 90210" If it's another poster, you'd just change the season number and tv show name. Jayy008 (talk) 14:14, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, so if you look below you can see that I couldn't exactly figure it out lol. Ryanlively (talk) 22:29, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- Lol OH :/. Right... Make sure you fill in all sections, then put licensing and fair-use under separate headers which can be copied and pasted from another cover. I'm going to fix this one for you now - Compare my edit to your last edit to see what I added. Jayy008 (talk) 23:14, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- I can't fill in the other information without knowing where it's from. Jayy008 (talk) 23:18, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ok. Can you check it out and let me know if I've done it right? Ryanlively (talk) 02:43, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
I'd say, no. But I'm confused as to what's wrong with it. When you pressed "upload file" did you choose dvd cover? Jayy008 (talk) 19:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- No. I chose image from a website. Ryanlively (talk) 02:22, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- You have to choose DVD cover. Then it'll be much easier to fill in. Once you've done that I'll help you fill it in. Jayy008 (talk) 19:09, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Starring
[edit]I agree too. However, they're not allowed. When the lead is long enough for the infobox to not cut into the episode list - Starring has to be removed. Even when it's allowed for that short time, only regulars are allowed. You could bring it up for discussion, but you'd need to think of a reason why 90210 and Gossip Girl deserve to be different than the guidelines (an impossible task). Even though, I don't like having no lists, I want to get the pages up to scratch and completely in line with guidelines. Any other questions feel free to ask, I won't reply for a while, though. Turning laptop off now. Jayy008 (talk) 00:21, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- It's not really a big deal for me. I'll get used to it. But are the season's past pages going to be changed as well? Or just the current ones? Ryanlively (talk) 04:30, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, they should all be changed, but it's if you can find somebody who has the time, or the patience to do it all. I will eventually get around to doing it. I only did Season 3 (90210) and Season 4 (GG) first because they are the latest and I'm guessing have the most traffic coming onto Wikipedia. Jayy008 (talk) 15:08, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Lead
[edit]Just thought I'd post here and tell you why I reverted your edit. The reason why it's in the lead too is because the lead has to some up in the article. Information can't be in the lead and not be anywhere else in the article. Jayy008 (talk) 18:22, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

90210 naming
[edit]Just thought I'd drop a message to let you know about Wikipedia:Commonname. If somebody gives you a hard time about having "Silver" instead of "Erin Silver" then you can show them that. For example, we use Snoop Dogg instead of his real name based on those rules. Posting this as I've seen you've had to revert somebody changing it twice. Jayy008 (talk) 18:37, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Should we add in the production that the women originally cast as Elanor Waldorf was only in the pilot? Jayy008 (talk) 17:07, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I think so. I don't know if it's already stated somewhere else in the article, but one could be lead to believe that she is still on the show unless stated otherwise. I actually forgot someone else played Elanor in the pilot, it's been awhile since I last saw that episode lol. Ryanlively (talk) 17:43, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Lol, I only started watching it recently, so it's all quite fresh. I made the changes, let me know if you think it's ok. Jayy008 (talk) 18:40, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

90210
[edit]Can you tell me if you have any idea why they want to add information about one filming location for one episode to the page? I'm so confused, it has nothing to do with the show that a house they used was owned by a criminal. It's actual laughable and I really hope the discussion weighs against it. Jayy008 (talk) 19:00, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was just so beyond my comprehension that I couldn't even follow the whole discussion. Most of it, if any part at all, made no sense. But it is laughable and I highly doubt that it will be actually contributed to the page. Ryanlively (talk) 19:25, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- I just have no words at all. I will do my best to make sure it doesn't. I'm kinda disappointed The CW hasn't made any early renewal decisions this year. But I'm 100% sure GG and 90210 will be back. What do you think? Jayy008 (talk) 23:13, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was disappointed at that too. I'm pretty sure it's because CW president Dawn Ostroff is leaving, so I assume they decided to save renewal announcements until May upfronts. But I agree 100% that Gossip Girl and 90210 will be back. The CW is already losing at least two shows next year with Life Unexpected and Smallville out as well with the possibility of One Tree Hill, so I highly doubt that any other shows will be canceled. Ryanlively (talk) 01:16, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed, and even if they wanted to, they couldn't afford to lol. One Tree Hill may be back as after writing the finale the CW then went to the producers and mentioned season 9 (ridiculous waiting until writing a series finale to ask them back). Do you watch any others on there? Jayy008 (talk) 21:02, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- No, I don't watch any others. But I do follow The CW very closely as to keep an eye on my favorite shows. I do think that they may renew One Tree Hill for another season, but it depends on the cast. If One Tree Hill does come back, then Hellcats is another nominee for cancellation. It has the ratings for it. But what do you think of 90210 this season? I think it's been very "ehhh" as compared the the first and second seasons, which I liked much better. And I love Gossip Girl this season. I think it's really had a creative resurgence this season. Ryanlively (talk) 22:53, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
I think the cast will definitely stay until the end - If The CW does decide to order three new shows, then I say Hellcats will definitely get cancelled. I think Hart of Dixie and Secret Circle are 100% in. If Hellcats is cancelled they may order 13 eps and launch Heavenly or Awakening mid-season. I think it would be helpful to hold off a third until then. 90210 has been my favourite this season as a whole, the rape storyline was great, the evolution of Jen and the non-dragging out of storylines. Season 2 was great, but after mid-season it got boring. Season 1 was "OK," until mid-season then it got great when Sinclair took over. I loved the early episodes with Jessica Walter, though. She was hilarious and I miss her. To be honest, Gossip Girl season 3 was my favourite (I think this is a UK thing, all my friends that watch it here agree, America seems to hate season 3 lol). The first 3 episodes of season four were great, I LOVED "The Undergraduates" where Penelope came back. Best episode of the season, I love it when it's like that, school and take-downs and drama rather than Chuck's business. Sorry for the essay, when it comes to The CW, I have a lot to say! Jayy008 (talk) 16:20, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- PS. I've finally got around to overhauling the 90210 character page. All I have to do is recurring. I will get around to that soon. I don't even want to attempt the Gossip Girl page. It's the worse I've seen on here. Jayy008 (talk) 18:16, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- I liked 90210 season one the best. I think there was this chemistry between the characters and I liked the family dynamic between the Wilsons, especially Annie and Dixon. They were like best friends. And I agree about Tabitha, she brought a sort of comic relief that the show needed. I also miss Ethan. I think they could have continued his character and I think he and Silver would have been good together. I thought season 2 was good. I liked the character direction of Annie, although the season finale was a little lame. And I also wish that the departure of Harry was better. I feel like season 3 started good, but maybe I expected too much from it. I feel like the Emily and Oscar storylines had no purpose and that they just put these vindictive characters on the show to increase the melodrama. I just think they could have written better things this year. They definitely could have done better with Debbie and Ryan for sure. The whole single mother and single father thing could have been explored more. They could have bonded over that and created a close friendship instead of making them hook up, which I just thought was weird. Also, Naomi liking the nerd is okay, but I just wish it had taken more time to develop, instead of her feelings just randomly being there for him after one episode. It feels kind of forced to me. And I feel like I haven't seen a whole lot of Dixon either.
- But I liked Gossip Girl season 3 too. I really liked the season long story arc concerning Jenny, I actually liked her more during that time because we saw a change in her character development, which I thought was interesting. I don't think I liked the Nate-Serena thing though. They just were so boring together. I liked the prospect of Nate-Jenny better (if you can't tell by this point, Jenny is one of my favorite characters lol). But I just think season 4 has been amazing on all fronts. I've liked everyone's story this year, except Vanessa. I feel like they've made her purposefully unlikable, although I still like her. And I liked that Penelope was back too. I have a theory that she is Gossip Girl.
- And I was considering overhauling the 90210 character page after I did the "series overview" section on the main page, but it just seemed like such a big task. Looks great though! I love all the photos of the actors. I haven't gotten around to reading any of the character's summaries though. And yeah, the Gossip Girl characters page seems like a very overwhelming task. That may be something to do when the season is over but who knows. Ryanlively (talk) 20:01, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
I'll answer in stages like you did, seems best lol!
1) 90210 story talk: I enjoyed that too, I loved how well Annie and Dixon got along. They don't ever seem to have scenes anymore. I miss Ethan and I'm hopeful that he my come back for one episode, now Sinclair is leaving, it's also open for Kelly to return too (for Silver) and Brenda (to sort Adrianna out). I like what Sinclair did, but she destroyed Silver and Adrianna. Unrealistic character changes. In my opinion, Silver would never cheat with her friends b/f. Season 3 started out great, and I agree it's gone down. Hate Emily (pointless, Naomi and that became stupid for no reason choosing her over Annie). And Oscar, that accent, really? I'm British and he did an awful accent. I hope Oscar doesn't come back, but I have a feeling Emily will come back to hurt Annie in the finale (EW said she was recurring).
2) I loved Jenny's story in season 3, it didn't feel dragged at all and I loved the development. I'm all for Nate/Jenny (Chace Crawford doesn't want it, though, sigh), Blair/Chuck and I'm a fan of Dan/Serena forever. I think they've deliberately made Vanessa unlikable to get rid of her from the show. Maybe for budget cuts? It would be interesting if Penelope was Gossip Girl. It could be Nelly Yuki or Isobel too. And speaking of Isobel, I saw a photo of her with lines next to Penn, maybe she's back before seasons end?
3) It was quite a big task, but I really wanted it done. As for Gossip Girl you make a very valid point. I will wait until Season four is finished so they'll be less to do on Gossip Girl itself, then I can start on the character page. Jayy008 (talk) 21:37, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think they're getting rid of Vanessa, I just think it was what they've written for her this season. I hope she gets some better stuff next season. I hope Jenny returns for a good part of next season as well. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season and the new character Charlie. My favorite episodes this season (and of the series overall) are "Gaslit" and "The Townie".
- Yeah, with 90210 the vibe of the show is different. I don't think I like it as much now. I feel like it's trying to be like other teen dramas right now (Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars), the first season wasn't like that. I actually feel like the first season had more of a feel like the original series did, and not just because the original stars were in it. It just felt really wholesome, and even the parents had a significant role, one which I feel diminished after Sinclair took over. And I did like season two as well. I think she started out good with the show, but got careless with the characters and the direction of the show after awhile. I hope the new showrunner is better, whoever that may be, and improves the show now that she is gone. I think it would be cool if Ethan came back as a series regular, although I know that will never happen. And did you notice how she got rid of the Peach Pit after the first season? I mean, in my opinion, it seems like she stripped the show of everything it had to relate to the original. I get that she wanted to give it it's own identity, but I think it got lost in trying to that. Ryanlively (talk) 00:14, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- I agree, I don't think they'll get rid of her, but if they wanted to, they could easily do it now. It may never happen, but hold hope he may return for an episode or two. She got lost in her own world, even though I preferred the beach club, kids just don't randomly change their hang-out with no explanation. Jayy008 (talk) 14:37, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Nine-0
[edit]Hi Ryan, I've put the DVR information back in the lead. A lead is supposed to sum up the article and since something like that never happens, it's important. Was there a reason you removed it? Jayy008 (talk) 17:24, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Also, that information is already in the ratings sections. Jayy008 (talk) 17:26, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- I just moved it to the ratings section because some else had removed it. I restored it, and then figured as a compromise I could move it to the ratings section. It's fine. Ryanlively (talk) 20:52, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ah right, apologies. I think it was because they couldn't see it in the ratings section. Jayy008 (talk) 22:19, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Early renewals
[edit]Just checking in to see how you are? Haven't spoken since The CW announced their early renewals, happy? Where do you think they'll put 90210 and GG? I hope GG gets to be after TVD on Monday's and 90210 after Top Model on Wednesday's. They need good lead-ins. Jayy008 (talk) 18:49, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey. I'm not sure where they'll put everything yet, I think I could make a better estimate once I know what else is renewed, canceled, and what new shows there will be. For example, Hart of Dixie was developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Therefore, I think that if it were to be picked up, it could possibly go after Gossip Girl so as to have a good lead-in and since they are both JS and SS developed shows. But also, they could decide to leave GG and 90210 together and instead have One Tree Hill as a lead-in to Hart instead, if OTL is picked up, which I think is likely (both shows are set in somewhat small, sort of southern towns). Continuing, I think that The Secret Circle, if it is picked up, would have The Vampire Diaries as it's lead-in because they are developed by the same person, Kevin Williamson, and the novel series they are based on are written by the same person, L. J. Smith. That could leave Supernatural and Nikita paired up, or, if another supernatural-like series is picked up, then that could be paired with Supernatural while Nikita could be paired with ANTM. But there are still gaps that would need to be filled in cause I don't know what they are going to be picking up.
- So basically here's my guesstimate on what the schedule could be:
- Mondays: 90210, Gossip Girl
- Tuesdays: One Tree Hill, Hart of Dixie
- Wednesdays: ANTM, Nikita
- Thursdays: The Vampire Diaries, The Secret Circle
- Fridays: Supernatural, some other supernatural show (Awakening?)
- Also, I get what you were trying to go with pairing GG and TVD together, but both shows are already established. Having TVD as a lead-in to GG I think might do more harm than good. They are two totally different types of shows with different viewers and fans. You have more chance of boosting ratings by pairing similar shows with each other: GG and 90210, TVD and Supernatural, you know?
- I think you'll notice that they are moving in a different direction with the series' that they are considering for next season. Many more of the pilots are supernatural-esque, while in the previous pilot season (09-10 I believe), they tried to pick up more drama series' like The Beautiful Life and Melrose Place while they already had other drama series' One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, and 90210. It was a mistake to try and put all of those glossy, soapy dramas on the schedule. But now, I think they are realizing that those obviously don't all work, and notice that many of their supernatural shows do, so they are trying to capitalize on that.
- Sorry this is sooooo long lol. I didn't realize it would be. Ryanlively (talk) 21:17, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Lol, that's fine. Right, but 90210 and Gossip Girl have done awful paired together. So if the new person in charge doesn't separate them, I would be very surprised. I only suggested GG after TVD because when they repeated 90210 after TVD on 90210 day, it got better ratings and viewers than most of it's spring episodes for season. But I think for them to give 90210 or GG a good lead-in, I'm dreaming. Nikita I think will move to Friday as it's male-oriented like Supernatural and their other shows couldn't cope on a Friday. They wouldn't launch a new show on a Friday either. Even, though Nikita does well on Wednesdays :/. I love the Tuesday idea, but what would be better, a final season of OTH or a new Rachel Bilson-fronted project as a lead-in? I can't decide what would premiere better, but I don't think HOD fans would stick around for OTH. So you're right. TBH, I think Secret Circle may be used as a lead-in, it should premiere big like VD and could even launch a new show. Awakening may be picked up mid-season, but as it stands, Secret Circle and Hart of Dixie are ready for pick-ups. Heavenly is next in line, and Awakening after that. The others are DOA. Do you think ANTM will go back to 8pm then? I hope so, they just need to launch a better show after it. Gossip Girl fit perfectly with it and so did OTH, Top Model fans will stick around for an established show. Do you think OTH and Nikita will be back? I think if James Lafferty signs on, OTH will be. Sorry for the long reply, but here's my schedule:
For ratings:
Monday:
8pm: The Vampire Diaries
9pm: Gossip Girl
Tuesday:
8pm: One Tree Hill (The Final Season)
9pm: Hart of Dixie
Wednesday:
8pm: ANTM
9pm: 90210
Thursday:
8pm: The Secret Circle
9pm: Heavenly (depending if they choose this over Awakening, if Awakening is picked, it'll have to go somewhere else)
Friday:
8pm: Supernatural
9pm: Nikita (If picked up, if not I think they may add a repeat hour back, or just 13 eps for Nikita.
Now I'm done. I don't care to guess what The CW will do, for ratings rise, Supernatural should be moved away from Friday's. But I don't think that'll happen. Right, now I'm done lol Jayy008 (talk) 12:25, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
PS. GG and TVD are The CW's top performers in W18-34, that's the only reason I think they match. Jayy008 (talk) 12:36, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Gossip Girl
[edit]Hi Ryan, why did you remove the guest star tags on the Gossip Girl episode? Before I add back, just wanted to clarify. As lists aren't allowed, guest stars are placed in the episode summary in the format I had. Jayy008 (talk) 16:36, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
My mistake, I thought they weren't allowed. More so because most of them were already previous guest stars that I thought would be listed elsewhere. Ryanlively (talk) 16:39, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- The users are the Nikita page, whom are much more experienced than me. Say that that's how guest stars should be used. Obviously a casting section is still needed. But I will find out for definite at the project page about the episode summary and get back to you. Jayy008 (talk) 16:50, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Here is what was said. I will go through the cast section and see what's repeated. Jayy008 (talk) 18:24, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Regulars
[edit]Not necessarily, sometimes it's just the young cast contracted for so long. Where's the press release? It's really bugging me that people keep mentioning a "press release" but I can't find it myself. The one I find always only has Nikita and Supernatural. Since it's on a press release I have no objection to adding it back (I can't), however, The CW press releases are wrong a lot of the time. Last year they was awful. It was Lori Loughlin listed as the first cast members and when the credits aired in Sept for the first time she was last. Also with OTH, the press release only said a few of the starring characters. Anyway, can you show me it please as I wanna see it for all shows. And if you add it back I won't remove again :) Jayy008 (talk) 16:08, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Here is the official press release for all shows on The Cw from their website's blog. Also, I understand what you mean about them being wrong sometimes, they are also subject to change, as I've been hearing that some cast members may be let go from 90210 (which if they do I won't be watching anymore, there are only so many cast changes I can put up with on that show). Ryanlively (talk) 16:47, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Finally! Thank you, I'm so confused as to why TV by the Numbers and everywhere else left all of that information off. Yeah, I'm hearing that too, but I'm happy for a change. I'd like to see certain things return from season 1 and 2, but I agree, if they change too many cast I may not watch. I'm not too fussed if they get rid of Silver and Navid. Unless they restore Silver to who she was. I'd say the same for Adrianna but she's already on the path. Either way, I'm "50/50" on these new producers. I mean Life Unexpected producers for 90210, really? LUX was a family show and 90210 is much more trashy. I don't know how well it'll work. Jayy008 (talk) 17:28, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
PS. I've just restored the season 4 page of 90210 and done a full overhaul. Let me know what you think! Jayy008 (talk) 19:28, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- The 90210 season 4 page looks fine. I've never known how to actually create a page, only edit existing ones lol. Ryanlively (talk) 02:37, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Lol, there's not like a button for it or anything as far as I'm aware. All I know if that you type a page in, and if it doesn't exist it gives you the option to create it. Jayy008 (talk) 11:31, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Cast
[edit]The rules are that it's season 1 order, followed by additions to the show. The press release is the order we use for individual seasons. Jayy008 (talk) 21:36, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Well, in that case, shouldn't Jessica Szohr be moved after Matthew Settle? Jessica Lowndes was added as a series regular furing the first season of 90210, but she is listed after Jessica Walter on the 90210 page. Ryanlively (talk) 21:43, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I guess she could be moved. I have no objection to that. Jessica Lowndes was in the pilot but wasn't a regular, Walter was in the pilot but was, I made that decision based on that reason alone. By the way, when do you expect us to find out about who's back on 90210 and who isn't? Jayy008 (talk) 21:45, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Probably around the time they begin to start shooting for the new season, maybe around July? But I seriously won't watch it anymore if they get rid of anymore case members though. Everytime a new showrunner comes on, they change the series to how they want it to be, which makes the show lose it's identity. Ryanlively (talk) 21:49, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Possibly. Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm hoping the new show runners merged the first two execs ideas together. I like what Sinclair did to the series, but there was many things from season 1 I'd like brought back too. I can deal with demotions. But if I lose people all together I may not watch. I'd probably judge the premiere. Jayy008 (talk) 21:51, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

90210
[edit]It starts! Have you seen this? I'm kind of disappointed. But I think his storyline is done and it's time for the character to live his life. I'd much rather see Liam stay on his fishing boat and recur next season, though. Jayy008 (talk) 20:33, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think his storyline is done too. I'm really not disappointed at all. I think for me, he was the one main character that could leave, and I wouldn't care, but the rest need to stay. I actually stopped liking his storyline after Ian left. But I highly doubt they would let Liam leave the series. He's the male lead of the show pretty much, and now there's only 3 male characters left, so I think the rest are safe. The female cast members are the next ones of concern to me. I hope none of them have to leave. Also, what do you think of Naomi's storyline? I think either way, I hate it, and it's just bad writing. There's two ways that I can see it turning out, either she really is pregnant and she and Max go through the season preparing to be parents, or she is lying about being pregnant in order to get him to stay. If it's the first option, then they've already done that before and they've "jumped the shark". If it's the second option, then it just a complete disregard for her character's growth. Naomi lied about the sexual harassment and that turned out really bad for her, so I can't see her doing something like that again. But also, I guess they could maybe take the storyline to a place where Noami either has a miscarriage or gets an abortion, but I don't think I see them doing either of those, although I hope they would because it would reinvigorate my interest in the show. Ryanlively (talk) 21:45, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think Ivy could leave as well, if they do that, it means they've just destroyed Rebecca Sinclair's vision of the show and will keep the original characters. Even though, Liam seems to have an exit already in place, I agree, I don't think he'll go. I don't like Naomi's storyline, Naomi can't be pregnant, it's just not right. I don't think she'd lie again, the new writers I hope won't do that. My guess is she'll lose it and go to college. With the Donovan news, I'm hoping we'll know about the rest within two weeks. It's in production now so I guess they've made all their choices. I'm going to guess two more will go. Jayy008 (talk) 14:28, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think Ivy will go, they still have more of her storyline with Raj to tell. But I don't know that any others will go. I mean, if they wanted to, they could write out Adrianna. But I don't know that any others will leave, the cast seems slim enough as it is. Two more would be like destroying the show, it'd be too much. Ryanlively (talk) 15:41, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's only because McCord said that the cast will be "cut down," one doesn't seem like a cut down to me. Jayy008 (talk) 16:29, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Well, they're already losing Loughlin, Eggold, and Donovan. That leaves the cast at eight. That's the smallest the cast has ever been. If they cut the cast down by two more it'll only be six. So I guess maybe they'll get rid of one more, but at the same time, idk about that. Ryanlively (talk) 18:59, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- I've made some changes to the 90210 page now that Zinser is staying. I don't think anybody else will be cut now, so I can deal with it. My only guess is that Lanter may have a somewhat reduced role as he's away working on the boat. I'm looking forward to seeing if they can get some good writers now, the show always falls in ratings in the half-hour, I want season 4 to have wholesome episodes that keep people watching for the whole hour. Jayy008 (talk) 12:03, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Cover-Art
[edit]My answer to that is that I love Naomi/McCord, but come on? They may as well have just had her on the cover on her own. Jayy008 (talk) 09:39, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
PS, TVbyTheNumbers has added the season average dates Live+7 numbers without repeats. To me, this is more reliable as one including repeats isn't really a number at all. Should I add the full season average (minus repeats)? Jayy008 (talk) 19:53, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's even beyond just Naomi being in front (which is a very big complaint as well). I mean I know that she's the "lead" of the show, but damn. I mean, I guess I missed the part when it became the Naomi show and all other characters became irrelevant. But it goes beyond that. It's quite frankly the worst dvd cover that I've ever seen for a television show box set. The photoshop looks so incredibly amateurish it may as well have been done by a 13 year old fan who was just making a character collage for fun, I mean honestly, whoever created that should be fired because they do not deserve to be paid for that; all the other characters (particularly for me Annie and Dixon) are being completely ostracized from the show, I honestly did not think they could get pushed any farther back than they did on the season two cover but I was obviously wrong; Ivy isn't even on the cover; and in perhaps a smaller detail, Liam is wearing the exact same thing on the season three cover as he does on the season two cover, the color is just more prominent, I guess in an effort to hope no one would notice. I mean, I know you dislike the idea of screenshots for a dvd cover like on Gossip Girl season four, but I really think that would have been better than throwing this together. Ryanlively (talk) 00:30, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, exactly. Naomi is larger than the others too, the other characters are far back AND smaller. When Sinclair joined the show she said she wouldn't change the credits, but still made Naomi the star, which I don't get. I do admit I'd rather a GG screen-shot type cover than a collage. As for Liam, he's wearing the same thing because they only do a photoshoot every other season, but then I don't know why they'd put together the other cast wearing different outfits. It's a mess. Either way, it's in my Amazon wish-list lol. Jayy008 (talk) 14:35, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Also, what are you hoping for from season 4? I'm enjoying all of the focus on Navid. At least he's an original and it will be nice to see more of his family. I like his mother too. I'd love to see Christina Moore back. My dream of Jessica Walter is dead now :(. I hope the credit order is changed as well. Jayy008 (talk) 14:41, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- By the way, I know it doesn't matter for money purposes but it seems a lot of people agreed with you that season 4 was revived creatively, it was higher rated than last year with Live+7 :) Jayy008 (talk) 14:49, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Well I'm honestly a little iffy as to whether I care about watching season four, because season three was so bad to me. But I guess now that there are new showrunners, change could be good. I guess for me in general, I'm looking for the show to return to more realistic storylines, rather than basically Adrianna's entire storyline last year. I want the writing to improve and for them to have a clear direction for the show. I definitely want the writing to focus on the male characters as well. They were pretty ignored last season, especially in the second half. I'm also looking forward to Gossip Girl season five. I hope they deviate away from the whole Chuck and Blair thing, because it's honestly annoying to me now, and besides, Chuck's relationship with Blair is pretty abusive at this point. They need to be away from each other. I'm interested in where the story with "Charlie" and Georgina will go. Ryanlively (talk) 18:30, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed, what I loved about 90210 early on in season 1 and 2 was the dynamic of having it appeal to men and women. You saw the guys hang out and the girls separate. Liam was completely ignored last season. I think with college it can be more mature. Life Unexpected was very well written, but it was also a family show. If they can keep it trashyISH with good writing I'll be happy. Chuck and Blair I love as a couple but I'm getting annoyed with how they keep breaking them up and putting them together. All I care about is Serena being with Dan, which I think I'm the only fan of now. I'm also excited for Charlie and Georgina and I'm hopeful to see Nelly Yuki and Hazel again. Jayy008 (talk) 20:29, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm hoping that Jenny and Vanessa will guest star sometime next season. Jenny especially needs a better send off. Last we saw her she was on bad terms with her family, so she should come back and get some sort of redemption. I think everyone sort of universally hates the direction of Vanessa's character in season four. I hope eventually she can come back and get redemption as well. I think a lot of people don't get what she was trying to do during her last scene where she was selling Dan's manuscript or whatever. Their friendship had deteriorated but through everything she did, she still cared about him. So she was trying to get him to realize that he needed to do something with his life and his talent, rather than getting sucked into the UES. She got it published and was going to send the checks to him. Everyone thinks she was keeping the money and trying to be malicious but everyone hates her now anyway so no one would understand or care what her intentions were. I'm sure we'll find out more about where "Charlie" came from and who she is and where the real Charlie is. I'm looking forward to that, looks like Carol will have some 'splainin' to do lol. Ryanlively (talk) 01:00, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, yes lol, Carol will have some explaining. Somebody said to me Charlie's dead, and she doesn't want the family to know because it was her fault (good theory, but maybe there's something else). As for Jenny I don't think she'll be back, she wants to be with her band, this is her perfect opportunity to leave forever. Vanessa I'm sure will be back, and I think the writers intended for that scene to be redemption. I think she had really good intentions with the book thing and she'll give him the money. Or the writers will make her keep it, which will annoy me. Jayy008 (talk) 11:32, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit]What do you make of this, I really hope CBS won't do a DVD box-set without card packaging, it's a UK lazy thing that I haven't seen U.S. distributors do. Also, the GG cover has changed in the UK now, it's the same as the U.S.. Jayy008 (talk) 13:57, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I haven't been on in forever. My laptop's motherboard...well something happened to it and I'm out of a laptop, though I ordered a new one it'll be a couple weeks before a get it, so I haven't been able to edit. But anyway, what is card packaging? I'm still not a fan of the season 3 cover, it could have been way better. And I think it makes more sense to have the GG covers be the same in the U.S. as everywhere else, I think it gets confusing otherwise, not to mention I just totally did not get the original season four U.K. cover. Ryanlively (talk) 16:46, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, that sucks. I couldn't handle not having my laptop working. Card Packaging, as in a box, maybe it was easier to say? lol, but the season 3 cover looks like it'll be a large DVD case, with no box to slide on. And yes, I didn't understand why the UK cover only had the female cast, but I also don't understand why they couldn't use that photoshoot and use in imagine with the whole cast rather than just screen-shots. Jayy008 (talk) 16:54, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, yes. That would be different then. I don't know if they'll do the same thing in the U.S. release, they should really just keep the card packaging though. And yeah, I've seen a couple of old season 3 photoshoots that I thought they could've used for the DVD cover. That's actually what I though they would've used before I saw the cover. Ryanlively (talk) 17:23, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

- I LOVE this one. They've actually put it on a DVD cover too. And yeah, I may not buy the DVD if it doesn't have a box. I know that's very OCD, but it would look odd in my collection :/ Jayy008 (talk) 17:40, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
That is actually the exact photo I was thinking of when I said that. I'd seen that photo before and was like "This would make a perfect DVD cover." But alas... I actually like that one better than the current version. 68.82.72.69 (talk) 04:23, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- I completely agree. Jayy008 (talk) 17:59, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- I stumbled across by accident the fact that the cover we like is actually a photo shoot by ITV2 for their own promotional campaign. Maybe the U.S. weren't allowed to use the picture and Warner UK tried to use it but couldn't come to an agreement. My little theory anyway. Jayy008 (talk) 14:53, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
I would think that Warner still has some sort of ownership over the photo though. I mean, they would have all ownership over most anything to do with the show, and that would include the cast/characters. So I don't think the whole cast wouldn't have done a photoshoot for the show and Warner can't use the photo. The photo itself still may appear inside the DVD boxset, like a background image, but who knows. 68.82.72.69 (talk) 03:54, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah maybe. Hope so! Jayy008 (talk) 10:28, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Plot summaries
[edit]Is this too long? I want clarification before I revert. Thanks. Jayy008 (talk) 20:32, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes. I'd say that summary is definitely too long. I think even though the episode has its own page, the summary should not be that long. It's nearly long enough to describe the entire season. The summary should not have every detail of the episode included. Ryanlively (talk) 22:05, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
Episode names/films
[edit]It's simply because of sourcing. I want to nominate the page for Good Article when I'm done with 90210 but I was told it would stop it because it's unsourced. Jayy008 (talk) 08:30, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- Why not remove the ones from the other pages? Ryanlively (talk) 13:55, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- They're not ready for GA yet, so they don't need to be perfect. To be honest, I don't know if I'm going to do Season 1 and 2, it's so hard to find out-dated info. Jayy008 (talk) 15:33, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
90210 "Better"
[edit]Have you seen the promo trailer for the season 4 premiere of 90210? I'm pleasantly surprised. The new show runners really seem to know what they're doing. Jayy008 (talk) 16:31, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've seen it. I won't really trust that it's better until i've actually watched some of the season though because i've been disappointed before. Also, i have heard spoilers about several character's storylines and they do seem interesting. I heard a particular upcoming development with Annie so that was the first thing that actually made me reconsider watching this season. Ryanlively (talk) 05:17, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well was Michael Ausiello joking? He made a joke, so I hope it's not true. She's fallen low enough once before, doing it again is just pointless. Jayy008 (talk) 18:13, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, he gave a spoiler that she was going to become a professional escort. That seems like an interesting development to me because it's so the opposite of something she would do. I'm interested to see how she gets to that point. Ryanlively (talk) 19:38, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- I don't like it, but I agree it will be interesting to see how it unfolds. I'm also happy that they're breaking Liam/Annie up, they're terribly boring. Jayy008 (talk) 19:43, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

Agreed. And to be honest, I liked them in season one, but that's when they was written better individually. Jayy008 (talk) 21:02, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
90210 season 4 premiere "Up In Smoke"
[edit]Thoughts? Jayy008 (talk) 15:22, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I'm really never watching that show again. I mean, for me, the quality of that show from season 1 has just been ever diminishing. I just thought the quality hasn't been up from season 3 when I watched it; in fact it was worse to me. I feel that they've ruined a lot of characters, especially Liam. He's not who he was in season 1. The storylines that are shaping up are not interesting enough to draw me in; i found myself rolling my eyes several time during the episode. The ratings were pretty bad too, so we'll have to watch them the rest of the season, although I think that this my be the last season for the show. Anyway, sorry to bash the show; I didn't used to feel this way about it, but now I do. I just prefer to remember the show the way it was in the first two seasons and enjoy that. Also, would you like help archiving your page? I can see it's getting really long. Jayy008 (talk) 13:25, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Sure. What does archiving my page do? Ryanlively (talk) 16:07, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- It just puts all of the previous information onto its own page, then your talk-page is full of current information only. Jayy008 (talk) 16:54, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Okay. How would I go abut ding that? Ryanlively (talk) 21:05, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

All you have to do is make a page called: User talk:RyanLively/Archive 1. Then at the top of the page copy and paste what I've got here. Then copy and paste this entire talk-page onto that page. Then choose an archive box. Or just copy the one I use but link it to to your archive instead of mine so it can be accessed. Jayy008 (talk) 22:49, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
