Hi . You're doing some great work with this list - it seems the coverage of Japanese companies here was severely lacking! I reverted a couple of little things from your last edit though... Specifically, I removed the two German companies which you added with only their official website as reference. Per the edit warning at the top of the page these aren't suitable. I also re-added the reference you replaced - it's better to have two than one! We shouldn't be removing any until we have at least three, in my opinion . Good work anyways, keep it up! Thank you for your great advice! I would appreciate it! --Ryota7906 (talk) 21:57, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again! Seriously good work here, as always. Have you considered creating some articles for these companies? I create one or two occasionally (I tend to edit pretty randomly!) but I cannot do so for the Japanese ones, given I can neither read the sources or even properly search for them! you clearly can . I can assist if needs be? Let me know what you think! Nikthestunned 12:53, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your good suggestion and kind offer but I am afraid I have enough time to do now, and the time to spare is getting less and less. And if I had more time I would try to create new articles in the Japanese Wikipedia first because it is my native language. Still, I am willing to find sources for the list. It can make me learn local history of various areas around the world and also learn languages such as German, French, Italian etc.--Ryota7906 (talk) 19:49, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

TECH Kaihatsu

Thanks, Ryota7906. I can't read Japanese scripts, so I can't really have an opinion one way or another about the source. But I am happy that you are confident that the company is indeed that old, having gone through a name change. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 19:02, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Brauerei Gundel

[edit]

Heya. Fair enough re: John Brooke, although it seems to me like it's not the same company, merely a name they inherited when renovating and renting the offices. I can't find anything which says something like "John Brooke and Sons, now rebranded to Brooke's Mill" --> it looks to me like the building name is being used by the new landlords of the office space. Either way it's certainly fair enough to leave with those sources. Brauerei Gundel, however, I can find nothing on - not even their official website touts such a heritage, as virtually all of these companies do. If you have some sources on which an article could be based, which establishes their notability, I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong . Cheers, Nikthestunned 08:40, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Nikthestunned. I always appreciate your efforts to maintain the quality of the article.
  • John Brooke & Sons Ltd
I guess "John Brooke & Sons Ltd" is still the company's current name and "Brooke’s Mill" is the office park that they are running. The guessing is based on their address:
John Brooke and Sons Ltd
Unit 19, Brookes Mill, Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield, HD4 7NR
( https://www.yell.com/biz/john-brooke-and-sons-ltd-huddersfield-4376263/ )
It seems to me that the company "John Brooke & Sons Ltd" resides in Unit 19 of Brooke's Mill, their own building.
  • Brauerei Gundel
The Home Page (Startseite) of their official website ( http://www.brauerei-gundel.de/ ) has Our History section (Unsere Geschichte), as follows:
Vor über 400 Jahren-im Jahr 1602- wurde in Barthelmesaurach erstmals eine Braustätte gemeldet, welche sich "Brauerei zur Krone" nannte. Seit 1887 ist die Brauerei im Besitz der Familie Gundel. Damals erwarb Konrad Gundel die Brauerei.

Well it seems my Google-translate-foo is not as honed as I thought! Either way I'm still struggling to find any independent sources which confirm the same... You having any luck? Cheers, Nikthestunned 15:41, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I also used Google Translate and changed some words here and there consulting a German dictionary.
I found another source for Brauerei Gundel (and rescued the entry). I hope you will see if it is a fair enough one.--Ryota7906 (talk) 12:53, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
