The correct response to multiple warnings related to your repeated upload of copyrighted material is to stop the activity and begin discussing your actions. I have disabled this account until you do so. Kuru (talk) 17:48, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

I've indicated in the summary that I am the author of the work(s) (Santoaz2006, own work). It was an oversight on my part when I uploaded. I removed the warnings because that's what the notice said to do after the corrections.???

Accept reason:

Per the discussion below, I've unblocked your account. Please do not tag articles as own work in the future if you did not produce the image. Kuru (talk) 20:52, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To be clear, you are indicating that the series of images you uploaded related to the SS United States were entirely created by you? For example, this image appears to actually be this one. Most of them appear to be previously released on other sites. Could you be more specific? Kuru (talk) 18:11, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This image is attributed to the "Mark Perry Collection" on this site. Again, did you take these photos yourself, or are they scanned in from another source? I really need an answer as soon as possible; copyright violations are serious problem that we need to correct quickly. If you've simply scanned them, we can delete them and I'll unblock you on the promise not to do this again. If you really do own these images, I would like more details. Kuru (talk) 19:34, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was speaking of other uploaded images that I'd failed to tag properly. However, you are correct about most, if not all of the S.S. UNITED STATES images. My family sailed to England on this ship in August of 1967. Some of the images may be ours, don't recall which, it's been 40 years. It was never my intention to upload someone elses images. Got bit by the nostalgia bug and got a little carried away there. Should have been more careful. I assure you that any other images are entirely my work. Please go ahead and just delete them (S.S. UNITED STATES). It won't happen again.

I reverted your edits to the Palatki article. Please refer to this diff. Deleting peoples comments from you talk page does no make them go away. –droll [chat] 00:46, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've read the "What Wikipedia is not" page. It's exhaustive and sad. What in heaven's name is allowed? The wonderful images I added to Palatki were relevant and informative. That's why people visit Wikipedia, to become more informed. Where was the harm? Why not have a gallery there? I've seen them elsewhere. Some are good. Some are lousy. Does the decision making vary with the whim of particular administrator? Santoaz2006 (talk) 02:28, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an administrator. See WP:ADMIN. As Hike395 and I noted in the messages you deleted, Commons is the right place for galleries. Many articles on Wikipedia have a link at the bottom of the page to a category or galley at Commons. If you need help in getting started on Commons I would be glad to assist although my knowledge of that site is somewhat limited. Best wishes. –droll [chat] 05:11, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was reading the article San Francisco Peaks and i noticed your picture titled "View from Agassiz". I really think that this should be nominated as a Featured picture. As far as i can tell, it meets all the requirements. Just wondering if you would mind if i nominate it? Dusty777 (talk) 21:51, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Lincoln box.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is a photoshopped picture of no encyclopedic value.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 16:01, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
