Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Farouk-kaddoumi-259-1-.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Farouk-kaddoumi-259-1-.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Farouk-kaddoumi-259-1-.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:26, 27 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 00:26, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Kafr Qaddum has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks.  :-) Stwalkerstertalk ] 22:27, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Kafr Qaddum constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. Vishnava talk 22:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shaqip - there is a problem with the image you've uploaded, so just wait a bit before you add it to any article. Regards, Vishnava talk 22:36, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please check out Wikipedia:Image use policy, especially this - [1]. These will guide on how to properly add images to Wikipedia. All the best, Vishnava talk 22:40, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes you are right - wasn't wise of me to use a vandalism warning template - but your edit was reverted a bit earlier and I request you to understand that the image is up for deletion. Once you can get the copyright issues cleared, you can use it anywhere. Vishnava talk 22:48, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, but the image might get deleted because its not free. --Al Ameer son (talk) 23:07, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Faunivore has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

bare dictionary definition

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 12:00, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Faunivore requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nice catch finding the photo of Shuafat in the Beit Hanina article. I chose different photo from commons.wikimedia. It's not the best, but until you create a better one, I hope it will suffice. Kind regards, --@Efrat (talk) 14:42, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
