Proposed deletion of Aspose.Words (May 2016)
[edit]The article Aspose.Words has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:NSOFT with no secondary sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. McGeddon (talk) 16:28, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Click through to WP:NSOFT for more details about notability (specifically the "Inclusion" section), or WP:SECONDARY for information about secondary sources. Press coverage and mentions in academic papers would be secondary sources: a piece of software's own website is a primary source, and isn't enough for Wikipedia. --McGeddon (talk) 08:27, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- WP:NSOFT requires the software to have been:
- "discussed in reliable sources as significant in its particular field"
- "the subject of instruction at multiple grade schools, high schools, universities or post-graduate programs"
- "the subject of multiple printed third-party manuals, instruction books, or reliable reviews, written by independent authors and published by independent publishers", or
- "recognized as having historical or technical significance by reliable sources"
- From the look of them, the sources you've given aren't strong enough for this. --McGeddon (talk) 15:13, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Aspose.Words (March 2024)
[edit]The article Aspose.Words has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Concerns regarding notability, tone, advertising, lack of reliable references, unnecessary and redundant information, expression of unverified opinions, lack of significance or purpose, subjective and persuasive language, potential commercial use, listing of the benefits of their services from a non-neutral standpoint, among other things. Additionally, the service itself was not developed by a reliable company and, together with the other issues above, may endanger readers into trusting the service (which is unreliable) due to the persuasive language used.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ztimes3 (talk) 06:18, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
