July 2015

[edit]

You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/OnceaMetro. Thank you. Brianhe (talk) 00:20, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Brianhe, I'm not familiar with the user but I obviously did edit pages that the suspect also did. I don't feel any of my contributions violated editing requirements. I don't really know how to respond to that, can you offer more guidance? Thanks.--SimpleStitch (talk) 05:23, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, my guidance is this. Reply at the Conflict of Interest noticeboard as you were invited to on 28 July, and be sure to make note of whether you have edited for pay on Wikipedia. — Brianhe (talk) 05:01, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article John A. Thaler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional article. No RS coverage. Claims of notability seem to come from the size of JAT Capital Management - but news coverage of that company in a WP:BEFORE relates only to it failing in 2015 as a hedge fund - and same for Thaler himself. It is possible that Thaler should hypothetically be notable for Wikipedia purposes, but even then we'd need the RS biographical coverage to source a WP:BLP at all.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
