Recent edit to Mariño Family

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from Mariño Family without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Proposed deletion of Juan de Borja y Arnau

[edit]

The article Juan de Borja y Arnau has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence Juan de Borja y Arnau existed, and strong reason to believe this is a hoax. see talk and https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Consultas_de_borrado/Juan_de_Borja_y_Arnau the AfD on Spanish Wikipedia

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:59, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Juan de Borja y Arnau— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Antonio Mariño de Lobeira y Andrade requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. License tagging for File:Vicecounty of Casa Romana Chest Arms.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vicecounty of Casa Romana Chest Arms.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:05, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Stematta of House of Borja - Borgia.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

Speedy deletion nomination of Count of Mayalde

[edit]

Hello Siredejoinville,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Count of Mayalde for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vinod 15:17, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

You need to start using references... references that sources what is being written in the article. If you don't do this, your additions will be reverted. You've written articles in which 99% of the material were not in the refs given. You've made articles on assumptions.

In addition, you are adding sections that don't make sense or don't have anything in common with the article. I have a feeling English is not your primary language, so some of the problems can be associated with that.

I highly suggest you goto the Teahouse. You can ask questions there and seek help. Somebody should be able to speak Spanish. Bgwhite (talk) 07:10, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm seconding what Bgwhite says. You aren't using reliable sources and in many cases the English appears to be from machine translation. I will revert your edits if the English is terrible or the information unsourced. There is also reason to believe you have a conflict of interest. If you think you are an heir to a title, do not edit that page. Srnec (talk) 20:33, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sabotage

[edit]

This and the following edits are pure sabotage: [1]. I and another user spent time fixing it and adding references and you insist on deleting and adding false info. At least you did not mention, as you had originally in that article, that you had rights to this title. I will be reporting you for this and for all the false information and titles that you have been adding in this wikipedia. You think you can get away with it here (would not dare at Spanish wiki where there are people with knowledge about these titles) but this has got to stop. --Maragm (talk) 16:50, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Hispanic American Nobility

[edit]

The article Hispanic American Nobility has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Looks like a journal report, nothing suggesting acceptance to Wikipedia, including with needed improvements.

Sorry but he studied in Salamanca.
Tell me Bgwhite what is your real problem? Please, respect me and leave of disturbing me. I don´t disturbe you, why reason following after 5 years in the same? Please, don´t eraser more things I am doing with base.

You reverted two edits by different editors. They contained fixes to correct errors. When you reverted, you added the errors back in again. Read the edit summaries as it was also said there. You didn't leave an edit summary on why you reverted, therefore what you did was vandalism.

Unreliable references - last warning

[edit]

I've reverted your edits on Francisco Mariño y Soler. As was left on the article's talk page, you are using unreliable sources. Xenealoxias is not reliable. Xosé Lois Lamigueiro is the site's creator and person who writes most of the material. There is no editorial oversight... nobody to check if facts are correct. From the article's talk page, you can see the problems either you or the Xenealoxias site has caused.

You have been warned and blocked before for not using reliable sources. You have been warned before about putting in false information, adding yourself into articles and edit warring. You were blocked before for month. If this continues any more, the next block will be an indefinite block.

If you need help or need to ask questions, please do. Maragm might be more helpful as she knows Spanish, but I'm also available. Bgwhite (talk) 07:27, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Si necesita ayuda or desea hacer alguna pregunta, hágalo. Tal vez Maragm pueda ayudar ya que habla castellano, aunque yo también estoy disponible. (firmado Bgwhite). --Maragm (talk) 07:39, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Siredejoinville Replying to your message on my talk page) I am not trying to disturb you. What I am trying to do, without much success, I'm afraid, is to make you understand that wikipedia is not a personal gen site where you can add original research or information that is not properly referenced. I know that Xenealoxias do Ortegal is a pretty reliable page, in fact, the genealogy that they propose for the Mariño, as shown here, has nothing to do with the information and reference you added and which Bgwhite removed. There is no mention in that page that the Mariños descend from Fernando Pérez de Traba and, as I explained in the talk page of Francisco Mariño y Soler, it is chronologically impossible that Fernando, who died in 1151, could have had a grandson who lived 150 years later (the one who in 1300 sold properties to his brother). Can you understand that that is impossible or are you just so blind and full of yourself and of your presumptive ancestors that you accept such folly? --Maragm (talk) 13:10, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
For your info, I posted a question in Estudios Gen (the Xeneoloxías do Ortegal site). The reply is that, no matter how hard some authors have tried to establish a relationship between the Mariño and the Trabas, such relationship does not exist. Also that by 1220 all of Fernando Perez de Traba's grandchildren were dead, so it is impossible that he was the grandfather of the one who is mentioned in the reference that you had used as being an adult in 1300. --Maragm (talk) 16:58, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Landlord House of Suescún.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Landlord House of Suescún.gif, which you've attributed to www.tripadvisor.co. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 07:55, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources, again

[edit]

I can see you've had issues with reliable sources before, including a final warning above. Can you tell me why you feel a very clearly identified mirror of a wikipedia article is a reliable source? The link is here. This has been noted in the edit summary several time; are you having difficulty understaning what is being communicated to you? Kuru (talk) 00:50, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Maragm and Kuru: It is obvious that Siredejoinville either will never get it or just doesn't care. This has gone on long enough and too much time has been wasted. I'd block him right now, but I fill I'm too involved. When I sit down to edit again in a few hours, I'll write up an ANI discussion. Bgwhite (talk) 02:01, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have a similar problem in that I'm reverting very poor sourcing, not vandalism or links to copyright violations, so I'd be uncomfortable taking administrative action. Would like to hear an answer or acknowledgement from the editor, but I suspect this is a language barrier issue. Kuru (talk) 15:53, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Kuru He's already been warned over fifty times and has already been blocked for it. He is indef blocked on the Spanish Wikipedia. He is using es:Usuario discusión:Ruiz-Mariño on eswiki. That account has been blocked on enwiki as a sockpuppet of Siredejoinville (I don't think the sockpuppeting is intentional). Bgwhite (talk) 20:52, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Duke of Valentinois, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Valence (France). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Duke of Valentinois. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:02, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Diannaa Could you specify what Siredejoinville copied.
Once again Siredejoinville you are doing disruptive editing. You are reverting people's edits and you are not referencing material. All book and long paper refs must have page numbers so your statements can be verified. As you have made up things in the past, any material without references will be removed. You have used refs, but made up things the refs didn't source, therefore the refs must be verifiable. You've been given more than enough chances to comply. Your latest edit to Duke of Valentinois gave unsourced statements. You also gave a sentence (D. Luisa Borja (Borgia) y d'Albret de Châtillon-Limoges) in which the ref didn't back up the statement. You have been warned untold times to use references and statements that can be verified. Bgwhite (talk) 23:34, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Siredejoinville. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Do not edit war

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on House of Borgia. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:36, 27 December 2016 (UTC) }[reply]

      • I am sorry but those who have reversed everything I have done; Still, supported by verifiable references, are precisely those people. People who have no scruple to harm the work of others for personal interests. I do not want to enter into empty discussions that will not get us anywhere. It is very clear that wikipedia is privately owned by a few who write what they crave under the veil of ignorance and support by making bulling those who wish to correct them. I'm not interested in either Monaco or his dukedom or any of that, because that's precisely the whole damn problem. It is simple. So, good day, from now on I will tell all my students that 80% Wikipedia is junk and the other 20 is a total fallacy. If you want to gape, go ahead, it's their damn custom when they're told the truth. ....

I wish you a happy new year and that 2017, bring you great benefits and pleasures.

Request reason:

your reason here Oh, I just see the page, you have changed other time the point about spouses. Look, wikipedia has a norm to write such point, one speciphic code. The person who insist in put term first or second is a descendant of Francisco Mariño y Soler who think this order bring to him some benefit; nothing farthest of this. The titles of this person were asigned to one speciphic person by right authorities and no one of these titles bring with them any economical benefit, they are just titles in name, no more no least; so that, I solicite you respectfull leave to make you do. It really doesn´t matter and that will not change the titles rehabilitation asigment. If the person in question wants to know why reason Mrs. Ana María Pinzon descendants can not claim the titles, I can explain to him, It is very simply, the titles just can heir by legitime male descendants of a legal catholic marriage, and when the line was rupted the inheritance right passed legally to a legitime non agnatice heir of legal marriage. In the case of Doña Ana María Pinzón, her marriage was nulled by vatican, papal dispense because wedding of Francisco Mariño y Soler with Doña Camila Franco y Currea. If the person wish conserve in this page such type of docuental writing concerning the spouses order, well, he can but then Wikipedia would be wrong because wikipedia has a way to write these points. So, it´s cleare the person blocked me is the same person who pretend such thing. Please, a honest and correct wikilibrarian that arrange this thing and unblocked me, thank you. that person lives to change users along time.

sorry but the reason why is the reason, no matter which was your excuse. Really I don´t wish to discusse anymore. Reality is if I had no created this page no one descandant of him would has knowledge about him, perhaps because he was a honest man in a country where all heroes in general and actual leaders were and are corrupted. Facts are there, bust with titles, chest of arms used by him, his genealogy that all of his descendants know, also the fact he had ask Pope of that time his first null marriage. The Pope dispense, his documental papers and pictures placed in National Museum of Colombia and National Library and in his born town. ...... .... Ladies and gentlemen, reason is the reason, no matter how which are your excuse posted here. The just only legitmazed heirs of Francisco Mariño y Soler come from Doña Camila Franco y Currea, from Don Pioquinto Benjamín Mariño y Franco born in 1848 and from Doña Ana Mercedes Mariño Galeano. That is one thing I can´t change, neither Pope or Spanish King can change that because their laws in that theme. It is not a Colombian law matter because one republic has no noble titles neither given but Vatican and Spanish law yes....... I don´t wish discusse anymore, the thruth is in wikipedia there are few honest people and nost part dishonest people and that´s real thing, for that reason wikipedia has so much incongruences in all aspects, that is known by all institutions and people around the world and is very sad, because wikipedia was created with a good intention.
